I will watch anything you produce. I love the fixing, the personality, attitude, the skill. You have a great ability. Glad you are using your talents in car smog repair also. The mine videos scare and fascinate me.

I've learned a great deal from you Mr. Shango. We've communicated before, and I would like to say thank you once again. I enjoy fixing radios myself, but I didn't know too much about going about repairing them. Ten years later, I'm selling my repaired radios and the skills I've learned from people like you.

If one really wanted to, take a wooden embroidery hoop, coil some magnet wire around it and hook up a variable capacitor in parallel with the coil, and "presto," you'll have a home made tune-able AM antenna.

Fantastic video, is a treat, well done. Thanks for the content, one of my favorite KZbinrs by far, been subbed for years, always a fun time and informative.

Volunteer cabin vintage transistor unboxing done in the Mojave desert north of Baker, CA. Love the "There will be a $5 charge..." sign next to the American flag . That Silvertone radio model 4217 at 57:35 in looks awesome. Great radio from 1964. The 132.xxxxx prefix for Sears chassis is Arvin/Norblitt Sparks.

You know what's better then screw turning not edited out, is them spending an extra couple hours editing screw turning in.

do more livestreams, I like it. The iraqi radios can probably be aligned to work properly, pretty sure they're just misaligned a lot

Those Terk and Select-A-Tenna loops work great on radios that don't have good reception. A hot radio properly aligned won't notice much improvement. I have both and the Select-A-Tenna is better but awkward to use. I use the Terk to cut down on noise from the crummy AC around here. The Terk dial is hard to read but well made.

Hey Shango, I live in New Mexico. Been following you for years. Have a similar group of old radios, I would love to send you. These are old transistor radios, 1950s-1970s. Some are working, some are not. How might I send these to you?

The T.O. has a great antenna so it won't benefit much from the loop. Loops are good for radios with small ferrites.

Starlink is going to be huge. So simple to setup, no cables to install, no roads to dig up. Internet access is going to be a doddle everywhere. A lot of big suppliers are going to disappear if cable installation is their main source of revenue. (That means Openreach - in the UK and all other nations that have that sort of monopoly) Unless meteorological, solar winds or aircraft/drone interference becomes a thing. Or just the amount of user bandwidth demand degrades the performance somehow. Just another environment/supply and demand challenge for a huge business venture.. roll the dice.. As of September 2024 6,426 Starlink satellites, of which 6,371 are working. The total number of Starlink satellites launched so far is 7,213, with 6,554 still in orbit and 6,499 remaining functional. A Starlink satellite has a lifespan of approximately five years and SpaceX eventually hopes to have as many as 42,000 satellites in this so-called megaconstellation. I'm thinking that may solve global warming or at least make the sky seem darker.
