@broadwaymike92 I'm pretty sure the only reason they didn't was because she's Canadian, not American. It would probably be inappropriate for her to sing the National Anthem.

@broadwaymike92 I'm honestly not sure if you were kidding, so I'll assume you weren't. Disregard this if you were. I should have specified that she isn't a U.S. citizen. For her to sing the U.S. national anthem would be like me singing the British national anthem. It's just not typical to sing about having patriotism for a country of which you are not and are not planning to become a citizen. Hope that clarifies my point.
