I grew up around horses and I will never forget when our horse was about to have its baby for almost a week my mom would wake us up in the middle of the night and drag us down to the ranch to see if the baby was here yet, sure enough on one of those late night trips we got to see the baby horse being born and take its first steps, I was maybe 4 or 5 at the time and I am now 33yrs old, I will always cherish the memories of growing up around horses the lessons I learned will never be forgotten. If your a true horse person waking up in the middle of the night and going to love on a horse is not strange at all, she loves her horses.
