Father wounds are a huge deal. The biggest deal in our society. Many Father's are just repeating what they learned amd experienced from theirs. It's a cycle. People are in pain and they lash out at others.

By sharing her story she may give people suffering from the same issues a little bit of comfort, showing that they are not alone in their situations. I personally believe that it takes a lot of courage to share it instead of keeping it from everyone. And I'm sure she's seeing a therapist. These are just two different things, sharing a story and getting treatment. If you watch it again and listen to what she is saying you might understand what the point here was.
