I also agree. It certainly did very well in it's first week of release, but I suppose I would have been surprised if it didn't debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart. It began to drop fairly quickly and didn't sustain that initial success. That said, the music industry has become practically unrecognizable in the time that she's been away; the country apparatus within the industry has nearly vanished and radio isn't the vehicle it used to be. Reba's most recent album "Stronger Than the Truth" didn't get much airplay either. In the case of "Now," country didn't embrace it and pop didn't either -- a great majority of her catalogue generated crossover appeal that resulted in different mixes, which isn't the case for the new material...it kind of fell through the cracks for some reason. Also, there has been a lot of resistance lately at country radio to play female artists whose music can be interpreted as pop. The country radio establishment isn't playing any of Taylor Swift's latest music, which is predictable; she's migrated to pop for now. But when was the last time you heard early Taylor on country radio? I haven't in a long time.
