Thanks for posting this RARE video. This was very early in her career (pre-Mutt Lange, pre-massive success) and pre-media training. Shania, born Eilleen Regina Edwards Twain, was eventually raised in a Native Canadian community by her adoptive father, Jerry Twain. Eilleen met a young wardrobe girl who was Ojibway, named Shania while singing and working at The Deerhurst Resort in Ontario. That is where she got the idea for her 'stage name'. She mentions it in later interviews.

She took the name from a wardrobe girl she worked with when performing in Canada just before her big break. In her own words she said it was such a beautiful name. One she never heard before. She didn't know at the time that it meant "on my way "

Shania had a difficult life, however Nature gave her so many gifts: music talent, also an absolute beauty (!) with character and strong determination; shine, spontaneous sympathy, and so on. All components for a skyrocketing career she truly deserved. High five for Shania!

I'm confused now she said her grandmother supposedly came up with the name Shania but Shania has said in an interview that she came up with the name because she worked with the girl at the Deer Hurst Resort in Canada her name was Shania and that's where she got the name from and she said the name meant on my way so I don't understand why she she asked her grandmother what the name Shania meant as if it was her name given at birth🤔🤔

Not only: also her real father Edwards had some Indian blood in his veins. If Shania is such a perfect beauty it's also because of her incredible genetical mix : her roots are Irish, French, English, Indian, etc.
