First time i took mushrooms, I realized i was in a cult. Then i was able to wake up after the trip was over It also helped me stop my alcohol abuse. So it kinda saved me in a way However i would not assert that it would do that for everyone. Psychedelics can be really beneficial for some people in some circumstances , but go to a doctor for your kidney infection. And a therapist 🤷🏼🤦‍♀️

Years and years ago, one of my husbands friends, whilst absolutely out of his mind on acid, picked up a knife and proceeded to chase another one of their friends around the house, because he thought he saw demons in his eyes. Hippies were 1970s. Went off grid. Ate their home grown vegetables and eggs. Smoked a lot of bongs. Everyone shared with others that were going through tough times. She is what? Could not do without her phone for 3 minutes, let alone for 3 days. Walk 3 miles to get to a shop. No home delivery in the bush, love. Psychedelics can be a pretty groovy time, and there seems to be some efficacy when used in a medical setting in the treatment of some mental health stuff. There's also some cases where a young person injests some psychedelic and develops schizophrenia which persists for the rest of their life. The 'psychedelic community' does too much overselling on the benefits and very little recognition of the dangers. It's irresponsible to blindly promote them without caveat.

I was once with a guy who smoked a large dose of DMT. Seen heaps of people do it and be fine. This bloke.... started screaming at the top of his lungs. No words just a pure primal screams of distress. Went on for about 5 minutes. During this he was flailing around like he was being attacked or something or fighting his way out of the experience itself. After about 10 minutes he was able to talk again. And calmed down. He left about half an hour later rattled to the core it seemed. Couldn't communicate what happened at all in his experience just said he felt trapped. Was extremely distressing to be around. Pretty sure he is all good now though last I heard.
