Poor kids. Being dumb and cringe is part of being a kid, but it’s a shame it can happen in such a self-destructive way as this. If you can make it through childhood/adolescence even just figuring out how to be a halfway decent human being, you’ve already done enough and you’re good enough.

My little brother is on the grindset mindset and it's sad to watch. He is very successful financially, but has no concept of life goals outside of money. He can't comprehend why I'm perfectly happy with my middle class income. And I can't comprehend why he chooses to start his office job at 5am. When we met at Christmas he asked me where I wanted to be in my career in 5 years, out of nowhere. Man, I'm just thankful I've got a 9-5 that I enjoy and I have my weekends completely free from work stress. I earn enough to save every month and pay my mortgage comfortably. He's got his own multi-million pound business and he still sees it as just the beginning. He didn't even go to his own graduation because he was working on his business start-up. I can't relate to him at all.

I hear this all the time. They will put you down and try and sell you on a course "Ill show you 5 easy steps on how to getting rich" Nothing about starting an actual business, filing an actual business. Getting licensed, bonded, insuranced, or hiring qualified people or even the legal stuff. It's always some borderline MLM program that you work 23 hours a day, with 10 hours of fitness and reading 20 books a month that a lot of these guys claim they do. They're not considering you're personal happniess or whats important to you, spending time with family or even the family dog. All this shits gonna end up doing to you is causing health issues thats gonna end up leading to hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical bills. Now there's nothing wrong with trying to become healthy, or setting your self up for success in life as long as its within your means.

This whole video highlights why we need to start looking at teenagers differently. We look at them, and sometimes treat them, like mini adults, when mentally they are just more complex toddlers. They have more emotional needs, and have more complex feelings than a toddler does, but they have the same narrow view and understanding of the world on top of impulsivity. These children should be watching cartoons, playing outside with their friends, and discovering who they want to be.

When I was 10 I started to learn to play guitar, when I was 16 I started doing warehouse work, for 5 years my mental health was miserable, then when I was 21 I started my own business fixing and building guitars and musical instruments. Now at the age of 23, I do this full time, even though the pay isn't anything to be amazed at, I don't care, because my mental health is drastically better than what it was 2/3 years ago, running a small business hasn't been without it's struggles, but everything is on the up and now I'm planning to expand my business further, into buying and selling of instruments, building and repairing amplifiers and other equipment, the fundamental thing is for me is my mental health being as best as it can be!
