I love Shanise, she's the first and only woman that made it on my Inspiration List. I love her voice, it took me about a year to learn her songs, now I love singing them in meetings! The first song my mother in laws favorite and she can sing it nicely! Anyway by the way, her songs are Cree and Navajo. :-)

She has a beautiful voice and song, if u like her then if u haven't heard of Lee Ann Brady, she also sings to heal the soul as she does, can u please tell me what "Cree" and "straight" means I am Italian and Irish and believe in God and in Jesus Christ and I am grateful for this music and prayer songs I believe God put them in my life as a tool to heal my soul and make it thru each and every day I k that it all soothes my sprit and soul and is good positive energy so that's great but I just was wondering if maybe u could explain what those words mean and what she is singing about ink it's good and healing which is very important but would like to know if u would be so kind to explain at ur convince thank you God bless

I hope she isn't THEE only one. There are plenty of Native women that is on my daughter's inspiration list which she showed her teachers when they asked her for a historical figure(meaning a white woman or other than Native).She came up with a lot of names an ALL Native Women...Who are in the History books. No disrespect but there are a lot out there. My daughter loves these songs an sings them also. She is only 15 now.

I see that this is composed of the Cree and Navajo language. My Auntie told me Yanaguana (Yana Wana) is a sacred region near San Antonio dear to the indigenous peoples there, it translates to "refreshing waters". She also mentioned, Hay nay away = and so it is. Would anyone like to take the time to contribute? Kind thanks. I got to start somewhere as I wasn't fortunate enough to have my language passed onto me. With humbleness and gratitude. 🙏
