I didn't think about it before, but when you guessed it was Mihawk Defending Coby, it makes me now wonder and want a What If on what would have happened if he WAS the one who Defended Coby and was the one to stop the war instead of Shanks. How things would have been different.

Well ASSUMING mihawk would have a reason to do this, he should be ready to fight against the admirals + garp and sengoku (which is suicide), so this is how it would go: Akainu wouldnt pull back, the war would get even worse, probably even more death. Garp and the admirals would actually have to go ALL OUT (since mihawk is yonko lvl pretty much). It would get pretty ugly. The marines would win eventually but they would take devestating losses, maybe even lose an admiral, and thats assuming shanks or kaido dont arrive during the war.

Akainu is a stern believer in "Absolute" Justice. Basically destroy evil at all costs even if you must kill your own or the innocent to do it. We first see this with Robin's backstory in Ohara when he blew up the evacuation ship to ensure no other scholars would survive on the slim chance one might have stowed away

Idk if Akainu really cares for "Justice" cuz it really sounds to me like he just throws the term around to support his actions. All he seems to me is a power hungry tyrant that is willing to be the dog of the WG and the celestials to keep the status quo and gain power. If Garp wasn't a marine and a world hero he'd probably scheme some way to kill him together with Ace and Luffy even if he was innocent. He'd probably even kill fellow marines (which he already did) and innocent civilians if it got in the way of his "Justice" or if he got ordered to do so (buster calls) already do that anyways so he's definitely guitly. Idk why some people that watch OP even support the Marines and the WG when its shown openly that they commit mass genocide, support slavery and literally any heinous act you can think of. Additionally, they claim that any unallied country is not supported by the "law" doesn't have any rights and are subject to exploitation and destruction. Like wtf why would you even want to support them.

Fun Fact for you, the only reason Garp refuses to become a Marine Admiral (He could. Easily. Was offered multiple times) is that, a Marine Admiral is a direct subordinate to the celestial dragons (remember Luffy punched one CD and Kizaru had to show up). He is loyal to the World government and a full blodd marine, but he despises the CD, openly mocking them and other royals(only reason he isn´t punished is due to his popularity and his feats/strenght)
