Akainu is doing is job to an extreme, but he's doing is job. I understand the feelings of being angry to him because he killed ace, but ace is just a pirate to him and to the world, and even if we know some pirates are good, they are very few compared to the rest of all pirates. This type of emotions is the same as attack on titan, people being angry at Gaby but not at Eren, she is the Eren of the outside world, they are the same, Gaby is even a better human. When good and evil are mixed, it's easy to misunderstand. Here Akainu is not right, but he isn't wrong, he is chasing pirates. Coby is the one taht's right, saving people is better than kill your enemies, but this is a war that the whitebeard pirates choose, ready to die for this war. Coby is disobeying orders from superior officers, the top marines, many times during war this is punishable by death even in the real world, and Coby knew that, he clearly said he was ready to die from disobeing orders without regret. You have to think to be on the side of the marines, what you're gonna do, stop killing scum pirates when you have the chance? No way. Akainu is too extreme, but he's not completly wrong. Coby is the one right, but in that situation he is too optimistic, trying to stop a war that concerns the safety of the entire world outside Marineford.
