Absolutely 100% I am facing Moms transition at 88. She was a warrior for our family. Married at 19 and divorced at 23 with 3 children. Worked professionally and met a German adoring husband until he passed. She financially and emotionally pulled through! She lives in an exclusive Assisted Living Facility that she pays for all amenties a church, a salon a personal suite with a bathroom, fine dining at all meals, church, daily activities and celebration of all holidays. I am ensuriing that every day is blessed and surrounded by a DREAM team while in Hospice! I am a survivor of the worst cancer. God's miracle. I will forever live in peace leading 100% of all of Mom's hospitalization, treatments and intervention.

Same thing happened with my wife ,she had stage 3advanced breast cancer in 2014 had chemotherapy and radiotherapy ,got the all clear a couple of years later then last year she had pains in her stomach I took her to hospital and she died there of pancreatic cancer ,we met at school in 1982 and was my best friend and soulmate,today was our wedding anniversary and I'm so lost without her she was 57 and my everything.liane Dorrington 1965_2023

Shannon, I was told that I had metastatic cancer that spread from my bones to my head (oringinally breast). I was given no hope by doctors April 2023 and 4 months to live. I am a very strong Christian ( repented for my sins and gave my life to Jesus) and refused that death sentence. prayed back to Jesus, His healing promises in The Bible. I was given a new, clean report 10 weeks later, no cancer. No treatments. Pray and praise Him!

Coming from someone who was diagnosed with the same type of breast cancer Shannon has chemo is hard on you physically, emotionally and emotionally. I was diagnosed in 2020 with stage 2B triple negative BC and I did 14 rounds of 3 different types of chemo and did a total of 4 surgeries that includes a double mastectomy and the other were reconstructive surgeries If I’m told there are no signs of cancer at this upcoming yearly exam and scans then I hopefully can say I am 3yrs in remission. I pray daily for anyone dealing with cancer.

I was wondering if Shannon's BC was Triple Negative as it is the most aggressive type. I am thrilled that YOU have fought the Breast and won! Each day is a GIFT so it's 1 day at a time. In Feb. 2005 I was dx with TNDC, 2 nodes+ when I was 43. On our 20th wedding anniversary, I asked my husband to check my breasts (odd thing to do on that special day, I know). He found the "Alien", left breast. I had 2 surgeries as the margins weren't clear, 6 chemo and 45 rads. Long story short, I am still here by the Grace of God and I pray daily as well..for everyone suffering through the horrors that cancer brings. God Bless Shannon and take her pain away. I wish I could hug her.

As a breast cancer survivor myself (rang the bell on 6 October 2023), I had to rely on my faith, family/friends and my church. My doctors were instrumental in answering all of my concerns. People were praying for me...and that was paramount to my victory over cancer. Although the cancer that I had was considered as Stage Zero (DCIS), I still had to go through the radiation treatments...which could be taxing at times. However, I pray that Shannon finds the courage and strength to fight for her life. God hears our prayers...and Has no respect a person. She must believe that she will live. She still has breath in her body--so, it's NEVER too late. Doctors can treat...but only Jesus heals! I thank God for my recovery...and Shannon can have the same!

It's very sad, Shannen, but as a Christian who God saved from destruction, having lived a very worldly life up to the point I was converted, I can only pray you will find the faith to give your life into Christ's hands - just ask for His forgiveness for all past sins and believe He does this, and will take you into His loving care. The fear of death He will remove also and He WILL give you the peace and securitiy you need - from fear, grief, anger, sadness, and all the rest. When He found me in answer to a prayer I made when in the direst circumstances, with me exercising just a mustard-seed sized faith in a God my mother had taught me as a small child, loved me, my entire life changed and I found that peace and security. He's your only real Friend, Shannen, He knows all that has happened, and you will come to depend on, and love more each day, the God Who loves you and will help you. Most of all, you and your mother will be able to fully trust you will meet again - death is no victor when you become a Christian. And reading the Bible will give you immense comfort and faith. May He lead and encourage you to trust in Him, no matter what may come.

What a load of crap, she has given up hope and her confidence, spoken like a true person who has never dealt with cancer. I’m fighting two cancers breast cancer in 2021 that spread to my lymph nodes in April 2023. Then Lymphoma in January this year, I have no intention of dying, nearly did three times this year alone but you have to be realistic. Make your Will ect I don’t want a funeral waste of money either does my husband. In Canada we have a program called Medical Assistance In Dying (MAID) that provides a dying patient the right to exit when they are ready. The program did not exist in 2006 when my wife died of Ovarian Cancer. She would have appreciated not having to wait till the Cancer killed her! The last week was horrible for everyone in the family.

We really need to get a grip in this country. Peoples persona on stage is not the same as their personal life. To hate someone that you don’t even know is I really utterly ridiculous. I’m sorry she has had to spend the last 10 years of her life struggling with this. But I think she’s wonderful to take care of her mother. I hope she leaves this world peacefully. And enjoy every moment she has until that time comes.
