This was a massive hit for her it was played on almost every radio station. and definitely in every club. I honestly think this was considered the first 'Club Dance Song' because disco was already fading. She had a few other hits 'Give Me Tonight' (my personal favorite by her)and 'Do You Wanna Get Away' but I guess they weren't big hits...her story was sort of sad if you wanna look her up.💯❤‍🔥

Dancing by yourself was a big thing in the eighties. You didn't see people dancing by themselves in the seventies. You always had a partner or were line-dancing in a group. In the eighties, people still danced in couples, but you also saw a kind of trendy, self-absorbed dance-floor posing by yourself, with people kind of slowly drifting out onto the dance floor individually trying to look distant and inscrutable in their black eyeliner, hair dyed black, and trendy garb.
