it seems to me the formula for beating the Cowboys has been established: run the ball, gain good yardage on first and second down because the only good thing the Cowboys defense can do is rush the quarterback in a third and long. I live in Nashville, TN. The biggest problem with Derrick Henry is when he is on the field there is no guessing for the defense on how to defend. As others have said Unc is WRONG....When Henry was here at TN, he was not in I formation. He was doing alot of zone read runs....and Defenses would just sell out to stop it. Henry does not have the best hands to catch passes, so he was limited in what he could do in the offense. What the Ravens have to do is have formations where teams get punished for selling out on the run. The fullback with the I-formation helps to create more holes. TN fell in love with other formations and defenses said if we keep him Henry from getting to the line we got him because on 2nd or 3rd down they take him out. Also....it cannot be overstated that their other running back Justice Hill played EXTREMELY well also. IMO their best weapons are ALL backs (Henry, Jackson, and Hill). A good coach should be concerned about ways to get as many of your best players on the field at once. Test out some formations with all 3 backs on the field. All 3 have potential to break free for HUGE gains. That is alot of pressure on a defense....especially having the designed run plays for Lamar. With 3 backs in the backfield possibly going in 2 different directions that is DEFINITELY a guessing game for the defense. Just my 2 cents.
