Күн бұрын

92%ers we are back with another episode of New Heights presented by our friends at Fireball.
In this episode, we are joined by an NFL Hall of Famer, a Tight End legend, and the man better known as “Unc,” Shannon Sharpe.
Shannon talks with the guys about how he first started mentoring Travis, how the secret to Tight End success might be all in the hips, and who is on his Tight End Mt. Rushmore.
We also dive into how Shannon was almost cut from the Broncos, which records he doesn’t think anyone will ever touch, why he’d be putting up “Travis numbers” in the modern NFL, and why he’d swap places with his brother Sterling if given the chance.
Finally, Shannon gives us his thoughts on the vaunted 2000s Raven's defense, if anyone in the NFL would block for Skip Bayless, why LeBron James wouldn’t be a great NFL Tight End, and what advice he’d give his rookie self.
As always, watch and listen to new episodes of New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce every Wednesday & check us out on Instagram, Twitter, and Tik Tok for all the best moments from the show.
Live Show Tickets: If you still want to win tickets to the live show in Kansas City all you gotta do is let us know why you’re the 1% of the 92%. Submit any artwork, letters, videos, or anything else you can think up, we’ll pick our favorites and start announcing winners in a couple of weeks.

Hey guys I’m just a football fan who happens to have a lot of opinions on certain issues , lol , you guys are the first podcast or show that I’ve been interested in . The reason being the relationship you two brothers have, the love for each other into adulthood, you know once we leave the house , start families and careers it’s not often we stay so close to our immediate family , I’m 46 and my brother would of been 50 this year , and you guys remind me so much of my brother and I that it’s just great to see , no matter what’s going on the show, you guys are great man. Don’t need to tell you guys , but keep doing what your doing and cherish every moment that we are one this earth and have the brother to talk to , nobody will ever know either one of you guys as well as you guys know each other , irreplaceable. Thank you to your parents for raising you right and you guys for taking the ball and running in the right direction . RIP Homero J.Montelongo 1974 - 2021 . ❤you brother Michael.

Yes and how bout Unc's HOF induction speech? It was equally inspiring, moving and enlightening. If yous haven't seen/heard it, do yourselves a solid and go there right now and check it out. For me it raised my feelings about both Sharpe brothers from respect to admiration. Man , them cats been through it. And for the record, Unc may have a unique voice and/or speech pattern, but don't let that fool you. His vocabulary and usage are well above your average jock. Gronk for example.

Another great episode! What I love about this show is that it’s not an interview. It’s just professionals kicking back talking shop like if they are at the bar having a beer. It encourages great, open conversation. You basically get to hear those conversations you wish you got to hear in the locker room. Hats off to Shannon for being so candid, humble, and open. Frankly, are used to hate his showboating, but that was only because I’m a Chiefs fan and he was usually getting up on us. what I never saw was how hard he worked to be the player that he was And it’s so cool that he’s giving back to younger players now. Well done!
