Let's take it to the stats: For the Championship game, she was 35.7% in shooting, 38.5% in 3Ps, 0 steals, 0 blocks, but 4 turnovers..... For this season, she was 45.5% in shooting, 37.8% in 3Ps, 1.7 steals, 0.5 blocks, and 4.7 turnovers She is 135th in FG%. To help you out, that means 134 players shoot better than her. The other players aren't jacking up 20 threes a game and hoping half fall. Other players are making wiser shot selections and actually hitting those shots. Clark just shot towards the rim, and if they hit, great, and if not oh well because she'll have idiots to cover for her. I will say it again, she's not a COMPLETE player. She has no inside game, no defense, she will turn the ball over, and she's avg at everything else. The media is only going off that she made allot of points, but what's the percentage. I would like these sport shows to do a comparison with her and past players, heck even with this season's player based off percentage and see where she stands. Lets see if she's looked at as a "Great" than.

100% true. Not only did Iowa go to the line more than the teams they played. The refs on their own or by a directive totally turned a blind eye to the heaves Caitlin gave to her defenders to get free. Don’t get me wrong, she’s a great player and she’s going to get her points though her talent, but without the buffer she and Iowa, this wouldn’t be a conversation. Same as with Wisconsin’s men’s team a few years ago and with Purdue’s men’s team this year

Giving you credit, you were more indepth and more succinct. When Floyd taunted and trash talked, he was such a thug they said. When Conor McGregor did it, he was a super hero. Same with Ronda Rousey and even Larry Bird. According to ex NBA players from the 80s Larry Bird was the biggest trash talker in the game. How dare Angel Reese.

Clark is one of the best ever to do it. Nobody was checking for Iowa before she came along. People was just saying how terrible women’s basketball is and none of the black woman could change that narrative, but Clark did. She had her own team, she play like Steph Curry. They was undersized and still took down powerhouse schools. And bringing up Floyd is unnecessary because black people hated on Floyd too, they wanted to see him lose just like everybody else. Don’t change the narrative like black people was cheering for Floyd because majority of them weren’t. Clark carried her squad and I respect that and it was exciting to watch. You can’t name one top 10 recruit off that Iowa squad, in comparison to all the teams they played with top recruits. They were never supposed to be in the championship in the first place according to the system.

The narrator talking about Caitlin Clark being named the greatest college athlete if she won the championship is absolutely stupid. This guy is a complete hater. Shannon's take on this is valid. She is one of the GOATS but not the GOAT. Caitlin Clark broke 45 NCAA records. She has been absolutely great as a player and for the sport. She never had the best team and to get to two championship games was special. It's always great to win a championship but most of the times the best teams win and not the best player. The only time I've seen the best player in basketball beat the best team was Julius Erving's 1976 New York Nets. This narrator seems upset because a predominately white team got to two NCAA championships. Give those girls their props. So disrespectful to the sport and all these young women who gave their all.

Iowa didn't win the women's college championship game because South Carolina was by far the better team . They were by far the best team in this years tournament. Not only the best team in the tournament but in the country, they went undefeated, and for at least the last three years the best team in the country . In winning the championship, they had to beat, hands down, the best player in women's college basketball this season, not only this season but at least for the last two years. This goes to show and prove again that a well coached and disciplined team will more times than none beat a team with only a very extraordinarily gifted player every time. That's why they call it a "team" sport. Now, it might be a moot point to Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes now. But their biggest game was the game that brought them to the final four against LSU. That was the game they needed to win, not just to advance to the final four but to avenge last year's championship game loss, and for the" you can't see me " gesture that Angel Reese made to Caitlin Clark in that game. It's hard for me to say if Iowa was a better team than LSU to win that game. But I do know that Caitlyn Clark was that extraordinarily gifted player and was the best women's college basketball player that season and had been for the last two years. And maybe that one time out of none that the extraordinarily gifted player and her team beat the better team. What I am saying is " You don't poke the sleeping bear and wake it up" because Angel Reese, she can see you now. Nuff said.

I knew Iowa would never win a championship with Caitlin Clark because basketball is a "TEAM SPORT " and as long as they keep trying to promote Caitlin as the players instead of another player on the team the championship will continue to elude her. She's an excellent, impressive "player " but as a team sport it requires "team effort" trying to prove her "singular " greatness will only fuel resentment amongst the team resulting in "loss after loss." IT is important to acknowledge the quality of her scoring prowess and not diminish the contributions of the rest of the team no matter how minute they may seem. In "THEIR" desperation to claim that kind of superiority and dominance "THEY'RE " creating a young woman with a broken 💔 spirit questioning her self worth.

Or it could be because the rest of her team is not good enough to win a championship. Iowa has so players besides Clark, that would start on UConn, LSU, or SC. Get outta here.

It's not good cause how you loose to a team you beat last year who started from scratch for this year... They saying she got tired but all great athletes go through same process and comes through... Caitlin is only greatest 3 point shooter

Omarosa told Bethenny “I’m an AFRICAN AMERICAN WOMAN & You get to walk around be mediocre and be rewarded with things & I have to be exceptional to get Anything in this business” & Caitlin Clark is a PERFECT EXAMPLE of this … she is nobody’s goat …

I think many don't think about what G.O.A.T. means literally. She's not the greatest of all time. And there can't be many GOATS. Only one. There can be many greats but only one G.O.A.T. Smh.

Kareem... the NCAA outlawed the dunk because of him. 3 straight titles 3 straight MOP awards for the tournament and national player of the year awards.

How can anyone possibly consider her the greatest college basketball player of all time? She has not won a single national championship. Therefore she’s not even remotely in the conversation. Also averaging 34 points a game isn’t that difficult if you’re allowed to shoot the ball whenever you touch it

The refs had to have been instructed to call it the white way or lose their careers. Always looking for the $, white folks. Plain and simple, more white fans to the WNBA equals more money for owners and media, not the players.

She couldn’t do what Shannon said facing 5 starters then another 5 on the bench that play just as good as the starters with a barely there supporting cast. I bet Iowa won’t be in the elite 8 let alone the final four next year, she could of got a championship they still would of found a way to move the goal post.
