It's basically damn if you do, damn if you don't with the Lakers. They can always wait for AD to come in 2020 but that would waste another season with LeBron. If they don't overpay for AD right now, they could lose the bidding war to the Celtics later. And if the Pelicans do accept the Lakers offer of say 5 players, that's still a huge risk because AD is injury-prone. It's amazing how many people are disregarding Lonzo. He's the 2nd best player on the Lakers behind LeBron. I don't subscribe to the whole idea that just because Kuzma can score, that makes him better. A lot of the reasons Kuzma goes off is because of Zo. Lonzo is a better passer, rebounder, playmaker, and defender than Kuzma. If Kuzma isn't scoring, he isn't doing anything. Kuz dropped 41 points, that's cool. He went 4/20 the game before that, and like 3/17 the game after that. I would love for the Lakers to keep both Zo and Kuz because I think they'll be the future in a couple of years, but seriously, Zo does so much more it's not even close.

Being top heavy doesn't work for them so they can instead try depth and developing a ball movement role playing style instead of AD's dominance 3. The Denver Nuggets should try and rent Davis for the rest of the season. They are loaded with talented young players. If I was the nuggets I would offer Torrey Craig, And Morris with Trey Lyles. And s first rounder. That way they keep Beasley, and Millsap to come off the bench along with Plumlee and Hernangomez. They still have Thomas waiting to comeback for extra bench Scoring. Now imagine Murray, Barton, Harris Davis and Jokic against Golden States Death lineup. Golden state would still be better. But that team would have a shot. If the nuggets lose to Golden state in the playoffs. Davis will leave either way. But what other choice would the nuggets have cause there no way they beating the warriors as currently constructed. New Orleans would get 2 quality young SG who play D and Trey Lyles who if given 32-35 mins a game will average 15 and 10. Just a thought.
