Great looking cruiser. Always fun to see that in africa the landcruiser lives his live completely stock and hardly sees tarmac. But in australia they feel they need to upgrade the complete cruiser because it would otherwise break down.

You get the 4runner which we don't in the UK, 79 series arrive here from Australia on import for reasonable prices.

LOVE this build!!! Can I get it in Green?? The only thing I don't like is the placement of the two antenna on the front bumper. Seems like those could have been mounted on the steel frame rail right behind the cab. More out of the way, and would look better. These need to be in the USA.

No worries. All those decisions are are made by the client. Antennas up front will yield better reception.

As they were originally an iron ore mining spec vehicle. in past years you could only get them used out of the mining industry....and register them after spending a packet getting them legal. This model with all the goodies would be over $170K AUD (maybe more) In recent years they have become very desirable. Typical Toyota make them rare, 12 month PLUS waiting time...etc. in reality they are more suited to out the back of Afghanistan, Africa, Vietnam, Russia etc...where there are no mechanics and you have to repair them yourself. In Australia they symbolise reliability, and 200K miles on the clock is barely Run in.!! (easy do 1 million miles). They are often advertised for sale with the seller being unable to meet repayments....

Why do Oz pickup trucks never seem to have an OEM bed/box? It always seems to be a badly fitting aftermarket installation with a different colour and shapeto the rest of the truck!

Because a OEM style bed/trays are so impactable and waste of unusable space on such a utilitarian vehicle. Every part and design element of our beds/trays utilize every inch of space and choose function over form. The paint finish is chosen for its durability over looks.
