I would say that yes, you could say that risky is almost an anti-villain since I know never say that directly wanted to kill Shantae. Instead the pirate Master clearly says he wants to kill all genius including Shantae.

I think Holly was also downright despicable. While not the biggest threat, her motives were entirely selfish and she was willing to kill and do something arguably worse than killing, with no remorse.

How to dodge cannonballs: (Most of the time, anyways...) Wait on the edge of the screen that the cannonballs will start from, when the first one goes over your head, run towards the middle of the screen.

Ik this video is 8 years old but to help you with the description, to dodge the cannonballs, use the dodge button right after running under the first 2 balls in the direction where they're coming from. Once you get it down it's a cakewalk

Also, the Bubble Shield protects you from projectiles. So you don't have to dodge the bullets if you have it equipped.

Its used throughout the game. Its a common trope in music to recycle a supposed main theme to direct the focus to what the music is about. In this case, shantae's theme is used in the final boss to show that she's the hopeful hero while the pirate master is the imminent threat. then again this could all be bullshit and I'm just speculating so there's that.
