Recommend you "Shantae and the Pirate's Curse" (Shantae 3). Personally think it's the most interesting in the series.

This is really damned impressive! I've been bitten by the Shantae bug again and am replaying all the games, but since I never did the DLC for Half-Genie Hero I thought I'd tackle it first. It's *really* tough stuff, and seeing you fly through it without taking damage and getting 100% *and* fastest any% at the same time is amazing to watch. I don't recall the game ever saying you could just "vanish" in place like that, so now I have new insight! Thanks for the amazing run.

This mode is hell. No joke, I spent 8 HOURS yesterday trying to complete it 100% within the time limit. I legit felt like my heart was gonna give out, especially on Cape Crustacean, Hypno Baron’s Castle and Risky’s Hideout. Don’t even get me started on Tassel Town. I somehow got fastest time for 100%, but I didn’t even make the 45 minute mark, so now I have to play it again to get the last win screen… And I heard that beach mode is apparently even harder. God help me…Trying to platinum this game might be the death of me. However I love this game to death, top 7 on my favorite games of all time for sure!

I bought the Shantae Half Genie Hero Ultimate Edition from the Nintendo eShop on my Nintendo Switch and I've only played Main and Hero Mode, but haven't played the other like where you play as Risky Boots, it gets confusing for me.

Just finished The Seven Sirens yesterday but didn’t SAVE because I only found 70% item collection. I feared I couldn’t go back later to finish collecting the rest of the stuff. It’s my first Shantae game so I am new to the series; does anyone know if you can go back and keep playing to collect the rest of the items AFTER clearing STORY mode or not? I need to know because I want to get 100% completion.

Don't worry, you CAN still collect items after completing the story mode.

@@grass0743 is it true though that some nuggets early in the game are inaccessible and therefore softlocks your game? I heard someone say that you can get them from the scientists before the final level but I already tried that and all they say is 'hoping to see the end of this '. I'm at 89% completion on New Game Plus.

honestly, like 90% of this games stages are poo. Love the franchise but this is the easily the worst i've played.
