Peak choreography, animating MK sprites so fluidly takes some real talent, I especially love the combo extensions with the EX moves, like holy you cooked so hard with this one it's unreal, really looking forward to the final part.

Excellent follow up. I'm especially impressed by how you manage to make these very asymmetrical sprites & fighting styles play off each other naturally, reacting with flow instead of just resetting & taking turns. Some bold direction, too, such as the music subsiding in the last sections to let the sounds of injury ring stronger. @@StridingSpark Your interpretation of the fight is just so much better. The DB was seriously mid, at best. I see so many vs shows and animations full of talented people who are unrelated to DB, many of which are just as good, if not better, but they are just so washed over and ignored. I can acknowledge the impact DB has the vs community, but it's sad to see talented animations ignore. Its also tiring to see VS shows have nothing but comments like "DB did it, you guys are rip offs, you're salty character x lost" ect ect.

@ Definitely fair! I guess it comes with the territory since DB has a larger influence. But it is a shame that people are going to other people's work and flooding it with those kind of comments. That annoyance is 100% understandable. Like, let people create and have their own interpretations in peace. Waited hell a long for this to drop 😂. I knew Oni would show up. But what I was trying to figure out about the power scaling, is Shao Khan in his Armageddon form?

Feels like I had ya'll waiting for centuries 😂 but not quite but perhaps similar in some ways. I like nicknaming this one, "Realm Conqueror Shao Kahn" as he enters his true form. For this story, he's absorbing within him all of the souls of the warriors he's defeated (from other VG universes) before his fight with Akuma. In a way, this is how I would envision Shao Kahn to be if he is a conqueror of realms.

The detail i noticed is that you used kazuya mishima's "CHEYING" for shao kahn here at 3:58 sometimes makes me wonder how would it have been if these 2 were voiced by same voice actor

@StridingSpark well, maybe there are a japanese version of mortal kombat. But becus we are used to it's english, then we won't hear anything about it, at least not in the big scale

If I remember correctly, I don't think the newer Mortal Kombat games are even published over there due to the excessive amount of violence. I know they aren't exposed to it with some of their content (Resident Evil, Ninja Gaiden, etc.) but I think there is a limit. Maybe even censorship to a degree.
