Avatar sent me here. Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino said they watched this show when they were looking for inspiration for the Airbenders/Air Nomads.

I am reading the book ' Avatar The Last Airbender: The Art of The Animated Series' and the creators are explaining the early development of Aang and the whole Avatar series. Guess what, around the time they decided it made sense that Aang would be a young monk, Mike & Bryan saw a recording of the performance ^Shaolin: Wheel of Life' and said to each other while watching the little boy 'That's Aang!'. How cool is that? Everyone here saying it's Aang and it actually helped the creators to shape Aang. I looked this performance up due to the mention in the book.

Im reading the same book as research for my bachelor's thesis and had to look up the inspiration for Aang. It so cool that this kid inspired Mike and Bryan to create Aang.

I wish you guys wrote a book about history of shaolin, and one especialy of endurance and going through dificulties over time of the wheel of history. Also, to know beter how it was nearly to extinct and later just by few moks it would be again live up to its rebirth. These things are so valuable to people to know and its hard to know othervise.. so we know the history, the human kind, its and all the things that are seeking for us in the corner so we know all the traps of the ones who are so owerpowering. Unfortunatly, its a sad story, but, at the end only thing is left is to accpet it has hapened and to be thankful shaolin tample stil today exists and makes us hapy to watch it and know more about it.

@@ShaolinLT Oh this is so great. Im so suprised by the answer, and not just, but i got a book to find. And yes, i did find the book on the internet. I find it in the internet archive and it was first apeard in the goodle search: The Shaolin monastery : history, religion, and the Chinese martial arts. i cant wait to read it and the cover of the book looks so great, i love the colors and the ambient. Secondly, I also find an article about Professor Ma Mingda, its a good long article and starts like this: One of the most influential Chinese martial arts scholars in China today is without a doubt Professor Ma Mingda, a history professor at Jinan University in the city of Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. Most of the information about his work has come through the writings of Mr. Stanley Henning, M.A.1, an independent scholar who has been a very generous mentor to the author of this article. For anyone wants to read this article her is the link, and its a kung fu magazine: www.kungfumagazine.com/magazine/article.php?article=794 I will be glad to explore more about the Professors work, books and to know more about him, as this is new to me to have oportunity to learn from a scientific point of wiev things about not only about martial arts or kung fu, but about shaolin way and history. Im excited about all this and very thankful to you. Also, I wish i kenw your respected name, or even the name of the book it would be published later as you stated the book is under proces of writing. Well, i know books might need time to write, somethimes a lot, its a tedious work without a doubt, and in case its uncomfortable to give me your name so i might also search, as you could see i like searching and finding details, concise way is something i like and where i find real satisfaction of knowledge, well, if so you can write me an answer to my email which is tvojanajlepsamuzika@gmail.com And for the end, im sorry if im a litle bit boring, but im also very thankful, to oyu personaly, and to shaolin temple to be existing and giving us all the good. I personaly only look up upon shaolin way of martial arts, for the reasons many of course, its maybe even to much to say its simply superior to anything else nad there are many reasons to say that and easily to knnow if one is honest and we should always know and say when something is so good it must be said its an honest way and fair, but, to me its important as usualy martial arts only made me feel strenious and under stress and stif, but with the shaolin way its diferent, its the oposite of that, and of course, the thing that it ofers meditation and mindfulnes as the basis makes the whole diference, as if straingth would be without the brain and knowledge and kindnes it would not mean much and we could call it violence, which is how i see it in all these mma boxing and other competitions where people are strong and fighty maybe enough in ring to beet equaly even shaolin monk, but its not about that, its about being a complete human, a whole person, developed both spiritualy and phisicly and in so many ways, which comes that shaolin is simply the only way that ofers the holistic aproach. Im sorry, it came a litle bit long answer, but im always like that.. Well, you can now understand my feelings about shaolin kung fu and way of life. Thank you thank you thank you so much for your time, im aware people find time very important to them, thank you.

@@ShaolinLT i dont know how you did it, but your words, thos saying im in the proces, and, other writer is also in the proces, imidiatly struck me with some peace, and enterd my brain, i could feel literaly the presure and virpool of the brain changin its frequency. I dont know how you did it but it did leave a mark. Like thousends of meditations and manras you did before sudenly took a strong efect. Well, anyways, i guess if i finaly in life, it hapened latle after many suferings overcoming my capacities to fight back the harshnes, well, if i didnt feel osme of that vibe you carie it wouldnt resonate, maybe you picked it up by my first question, comment. well, i had this idea, to, just care of the proces, as life, not achievement, but now after you, it came back i realised yestarday, but much stronger as of the life expirience. And, i was thinking last night, nevermind my goals if not suceed, as its terible by now, its important how i feel, how i feel and hear my breath in the nose and mouth, its the only hapines i got after all.. But recently my fights against ego came to understand that ego is resitance, to others nad fight, of a kind that is agresive, not natural so to say. I started giving up strugles of those kinds and arguing inside my mind to others what ever they did, and searching for what is not me to let it go, got me in trouble, as i didnt anymore know what is me, as so much inside me is non me its others so many, so i gave up, if so than let it be my life will be recognising non me, but something started hapening, more energy started to release from e, its mostly seen in more breathing, and joy i can say to my self, there is enough air in this world for both of us, the enemy of mine and me to..no need to fight at all..its still hard, but my ways are doing some resoults, thanks so much, heh, its great ..
