vada pav is literally the easiest thing to make, there is nothing special about it. I don't think there was anything wrong about vada pao instead it's the preference of the person trying it. She was excited about vada pao coz she might have heard about it and her expectations were to high about the item. This guys are probably used to eat non vegetarian food more which might be the reason why she didn't like the vada pao also vada pao by itself is pretty blend in taste you need alot of chutney and stuff with it to make it tasty.
