sir why the displacement in x direction (u) depends on y .it should only depend on x ,

x and y are the coordinates of a point inside a triangle on which we are interested to find deformation. And "u" and "v" are the deformation which are expressed in terms of their coordinates . To find the deformation of any point in 2D you have to give its x as well as y coordinates ok
