Definitely the easiest and most straight forward tutorial I've seen on Animate. I appreciate that you take the time to explain some specific features too. Will definitely watch your whole series!

Glad you liked it...but...i am currently in the process of moving all of animation tutorials off of this channel and onto my new Animation channel - where all of my new tutorials for Animate will be as well. kzbin.info/door/EGho5tkeuWNBinvVG4eWbA

Happy to hear that! Simple and easy to understand is what I'm going for, so I'm glad that's how they come across. Thanks for watching! 👍

Glad I could help! I just started making a few Animate Tutorials a couple weeks ago, and the other 3 videos are even more beginner than this one! I've pinned that playlist in the comments if you want to check those too. Thanks for watching! 🙂

MAN!!! This actually solved my issue!!! I was having the problem you show at 13:30 where even though you place the hints properly, it for some random reason swaps their positions. I moved my hint to the middle of a line instead of a corner and it actually worked!!! I'm still puzzled why this even exists as an issue, but THANKS nevertheless. Two days' time full of nerves now behind my back, hopegully for good.

Glad I could help. I also found with Shape hints that if you pile them on one side it can fix a glitch sometimes as well. Weird that it would work that way and not the way they're intended. Have a good one, and thanks for watching! 🙂

Thanks for the tutorial! But for some reason, I can't see the abc on my shape hints, is there any way to solve it?
@ThisGuy3 жыл бұрын
To be honest I'm not sure why it wouldn't work? What version of Animate CC are you using?

Thanks Shawn ! I'm trying to move a shape tween I made, but the shape hints don't move along with it... Would you know if there is a solution to make them stick to the shape when moving it ? Thanks :)
@ThisGuy3 жыл бұрын
I just did a few quick tests, and my shape hints stayed with my shape when I moved it, almost all the time. Here and there, without me knowing what I had done different, all of sudden the hints wouldn't move with the shape...? Every time I clicked on the background first (or away from the shape), and then clicked back on the shape and moved it, it worked perfect. That's all I could figure out, let me know if that helps, and/or if you're already figured it out...

@@ThisGuy Thanks a lot for your answer and the time you took for it ! And sorry for answering so late, I've been working on another project. Unfortunately, I tried differents ways, but it still doesn't want to work with me... The hints always stay still. I tried moving only the start shape, I tried selecting the whole animation (keyframes from start to end), but it doesn't work better. I tried your way by clicking first on the background and then click on the shape (first keyframe), but the hints don't follow the shapes... I don't know what I did wrong. May be some parameters... Thanks a lot, anyway !

yeah, shape hints can be a big pain. without seeing your project it's hard to know why it doesn't work. sorry about that.

It's not working with .pngs. How can I make a shape tween between a round png and a sqare png?
@ThisGuy3 жыл бұрын
The easiest way would be to just re-create the pngs using shapes/brushes etc in Animate. I Just tried to quickly "break apart" a circle and a square png, and shape tween them like you asked (with shape hints), it still didn't work, sorry.
@stefan1977full3 жыл бұрын
@@ThisGuy Yeah, you put the png on the background and you draw the morphing layers above. I think it's easier in AE. Thank you!
