This is a modded Shapeoko with Xcarve plates, steel bar, 287oz steppers, Cheap tb6600 stepper drivers. Running a single flute
.125 endmill at 17500 RPM. 30 IPM .030 Depth of cut. Cam using Fusion 360

how are your x direction steppers hooked up?......lead screw of gears?

Using 287oz steppers from longs motors on eBay. Each side has its own driver. Using GT3 belts.

how do you find the gears that go on the motors? and also do you know where to find a linear gear rail guide with like teeeth to lay along the x directions?.....ima newb bro but ive been obsessed with making a plasma cutter with a hypetherm and ive been trying to see what would be my best option in terms of stepper motors/ how many oz-in power, what type of breaker board and drivers would be best.....any advise is apreciated

I bought most of my stuff off ebay due to being cheaper. If you want to use belts just search gt3 belts or gt3 pulley. It your building a plasma belts would be fine. If you need to be teeth driven, try cncrouterparts.com

and they would supply those steel teeth rail guides for the motors as well? how do you determine if some gears fit youre nema 23 motor exactly...is there a special way or are they all the same?

just need to look at the shaft size and order the proper size.
