Survival Patterns Poster www.etsy.com/s...
www.moversodys...
Survival movement patterns are those patterns which can be considered functional and efficient in survival situations. Since it's difficult to know which survival situation one may face, it's difficult to know which patterns to adapt to. This video is a brief exploration of physically and mentally training for these scenarios

Note to all newer trainees - the most valuable thing he said was the fact that we respond best to high volume low intensities done as frequent as possible for example daily low intensity calisthenics done all throughout the day whenever possible, supplemented with less frequent high intensity training such as heavy lifting like heavy barbell training a few times a week for low volume. Took me 15 years of trial and error to learn this. If you want a body that performs like a ninja or like an animal, this is the key.

@@maheshkonda818 workout lightly everyday + some heavy lifting in between. i read that lift heavy for 2 hours/week is enough to grow (albeit slowly) and preserve the muscle. hope this help

as a survival-instructor i'd like to offer my insight from the opposite point of view. Trying to get ahead and through simulated survival-situations and having analyzed a few hundred reports of actual ones, what most people struggle the most with is the sheer amount of overall activity need throughout the day. whether you can do 30 pull-ups is rarely a factor, but simply being on your feet the whole day walking, reaching up, reaching down, straining your eyes, getting over fallen logs, maybe even while carrying load, etc. pp. *WHILE* also staying alert is a mammoth-task for modern people. many a tragic story could have ended differently if folks would just have walked one more mile (in those cases where they had to walk; be aware that staying at the site of event is usually the better option) or would not have had critical lapses in judgement from over-exertion. So, get moving. more.

This is funny, I can imagine in a disaster people like a plane crash(soft landing) in the middle of nowhere people saying ," we have to keep moving". Only to find out moving is a worse death sentence than the plane crash from lack of fitness. I see that alot with people super uncoordinated or when people come over to camp on my ranch, literally zero skills & fitness. Using a shovel for 1 min is already too much.

E.g. for this video, a survival movement course that illustrates a plan on how to approach this, a routine one could follow as a beginner and things to keep in mind while performing these exercises (cues that would tell us about bad form performing each of these exercises etc)
