I like that fact that the devs put a red X at the vortex, to give you a visual hint that the shape on that line is no longer required.

5:20 shapes does not need to be oriented correctly for the vortex, as the game tells you.

You can send things into the vortex on the second layer, doubling the inputs.

I never played shapez 1 before I played this demo and after finishing the demo I bought it immediately. Super pumped for this to release, I think it's gorgeous and super satisfying

I really enjoyed this demo. I blueprinted a series of platforms and did most of my assembly while it was traveling towards the vortex

you dont have to rotate the shapes to deliver them. because you can just rotate your screen.

as someone who played day 1 of drop on steam page, i feel like its genuinely a game worthy of its own with new ways of doing 3d shape an layouts stuff cant wait for it to unlock out of demo.

Tbh the visual upgrade alone is enough for me to want to play this game. If everything else is fairly similar or the same, the fact it looks and plays better i think is enough for me to play.

I played the heck out of shapez and agree... mostly. I'm think the stacking belts in particular will change up a lot for me. Denser builds mostly which extend the possible designs for make-anything-machines and puzzle challenges. My shapez 1 MAMs had a lot of logic around storing up shapes then deluging the hub for a burst 200/s delivery. I don't know if shapez 2 will have items/s challenges, but if so MAM design can go in several directions now.

Decided to give it a go last night after I saw your video since Ive enjoyed the first one for a bit. Not having to use splitters and mergers anymore is SO NICE, I'll definitely get that one when it comes out. À BRB I got shapes to stack.

I don't like the 3d, i think the original design was better, but the mechanics are definitely nice!

As someone who is a vet of other factory games but has not played Shapez 1, the pacing in this was great for me. I think your video sells me to pick up the original now and I enjoyed the demo of 2 myself that I plan to get it as well.

the industry mod is the best mod to play add to game mod section after you complete 1 to full unlock replay with it is crazy you can extend the game play by an easy 40hr or more.

The demo does not have floating layers so I am keeping my fingers crossed that it does not become as convoluted as in 1.

i was curious enough to try the first one and it was good and simple but didnt take me more than 10-15 hours before i felt i have had enough, i will def try 2 it looks way better, more mechanics to try out. will give the demo a try anyway might as well aye
