when they did come up Trae got to the rim and killed them with floaters or hit a wide open shooter. Shaq is just giving Trae credit while Charles and kenny won't say anything good about what the man did tonight. It was all on the bucks according to them. They just let Trae get 48 and 11. It's not like he wasn't doing the same thing to the sixers who are a great defensive team as well, while being guarded by Ben Simmons who was a dpoy candidate.

@@lucascarman2578 bruh. He wouldn't be useless on defense. The man actually went for the block, unlike today's soft players on D. You'd see so many of Trae's and Luka's shots get knocked to the 5th row it'd be hilarious. Yeah, he wouldn't be any help guarding the perimeter BUT teams that live by the 3 also die by the 3. Just ask the Jazz. Idk why people like to diss Shaq. Are you actually a fan of all the uncontested layups and dunks the league is living on these days cuz I'm not. Damn all I been hearing from Chuck and Kenny is giannis this bucks this, its like why not go to the bucks locker room and tell them that and take mikes job or something, give young credit man he broke down that defense, budden did adjustments at the end and went smaller and trae was still carving them up. Defending a great scorer who knows how to use screens is very tough but Barkley and Kenny are absolutely right that the center or the power forward has to come out on the perimeter to help his point guard on defending the player using the screen, shaq is talking nonsense in some ways about how the big man is supposed to defend the screen..Into today's era point guards and ball handlers are using more screens than ever so you got to figure out how to defend it.. But at the same time I understand what shaq saying, he's saying let Young score on the screen but make sure you try to stop others or contain the others but Young is too good of a scorer let him try to go off so the bucks should rather make him more into a passer on the screen and roll..

And they have no bench to speak of either. If they had someone like Doug McDermott and didn't foolishly trade away Brogdon they wouldn't be a paper tiger. Pacers had a 'bad coach for the last 4 seasons, got swept 3 times in 1st round & now that same coach is gonna be in coaching in (and winning) a championship as an interim head coach. And hes only had control of the team for half a season. Coaches get dragged thru the dirt bc of inconsistent players. A year ago McMillan was a bad coach. Now he's hands down unanimous coach of the year. Go figure.

Hawks are in the Eastern Championships and outside Atlanta everyone acts like it's a fluke. Other teams are having passes tipped that then bounce off Traes head and happens to somehow find the goal for 3 points.

Exactly. The BIG sits down low only when a pick isn't being put into motion. The big is down low for rebounding and because the other big isn't a threat from 3. In this case the Buck player protested that his teammate wasn't there and purposefully didn't even try to recover after the pick and getting beaten. He was like: WhereTF is my teammate. 90% of the Time Young would score, if it's 1 defenser on 2 guys executing a pick.

jrue gave up and just stood there, just because you aren't getting help you just don't give up on guarding someone, and yes, if the guy is torching you from the 3 pt. line, you get him help, like kenny said, to slow him down, you may not stop him but have to make it hard for him to get a shot off.
