Well it's a snowball effect once you have so many subscribers isn't it? When you release a video your influx of people with notifications at once is going to cause the system to think the flood of traffic is a trending video when it's not really trending at all, it's just your already existing subscribers viewing it, but then it gets put on trending list and does trend.
