The Indiana Fever finally looked like a coherent team tonight. Everyone did their part and Aliyah Boston and Kelsy Mitchell were outstanding. This is the way a good team has to play. Let's see if they can carry this forward as they are finding ways to blend together. Yes, it means less heroics for CC but it will translate into more wins for the team. Just finished watching Boston beat Dallas where Jason Tatum, their star player, played a lesser role while his teammates blasted Dallas. That's the way good teams play.

It’s called playing as a team play inside out and that frees Clark up but also takes some pressure off . It’s called team basketball to those that don’t know , Chicago Bulls did that with Jordan went inside to Horace Grant or Luke longley and kicked it out to a guard . Lakers did that with shaq and Kobe - Houston did it with Hakeem Olajuwon and Drexler . Play inside out / outside in it keeps defenses guessing

And it'll always be the white man's fault. When you program your kids like this as children you become racist as adults and don't even realize it I mean you literally came to comment hatred.. you just can't stand that there's people who like this girl.. and it bothers you that a white girl is getting all the attention. Fever have been able to get practices in over the last week and it is showing with their much better team play on offense. They are still having breakdowns on defense when switching, but that will improve as well with more practices. It's all about knowing what your teammates are going to do on offense and defense. Boston is going to benefit big time with improved team play from the guards as she gets passes to her near the basket. They will really start cooking when Caitlin figures out that dishing the ball to teammates is the most important contribution she can make. She'll be averaging double digit assists before the end of the season, something like a 13-11 double double with the Fever becoming a highly efficient offense. They beat a good team here. They are the youngest team in the WNBA and will only get better.

The only chance this team has is to fire the coach, who is doing a poor job coaching her superstar, Caitlin Clark, and to trade Mitchell, a career ballhogger. What a difference a game makes. The coach changed her scheme and started playing through Boston. I guess we all forgot that she was the number one pick a year ago. She had a great game and yet we are still having this Clark debate in the comments below. I guess no one continues to see her continuously missed defensive assignments and her turnovers. The lapse on defense isn't highlighted as much because quite a bit of the shots weren't made by the opposing team; however, watch and analyze the game.

Gee, I guess maybe everybody has on and off nights, and maybe we should stop obsessing over who the 'GOAT' is? In a team sport, teams win games. Not individuals. Michael Jordan took SEVEN YEARS to win a championship with the Bulls. I like all these young women, I respect their skills, and their work ethic. But it's really weird that the Suns and the Liberty are playing so damn well, winning so many games, and all anybody wants to talk about is the Fever and the Sky, who aren't winning nearly so much. Celebrity is fun, but it's not the point of anything. And image is absolutely NOTHING. But it's all we care about. And that's on us. Nobody else. It's screwing up a whole lot more than professional athletics.

So not a huge basketball guy but I saw something in this game that I think needs to be thought of as the coaching staff. I have seen several types of play from the fever. I think this has a well balanced offense and defense. What I mean is they have the ability depending on their line up and play of the other the other team. I saw in this one a more Center leader by Boston play like Shaq did. But I have also seen the run and gun work in the slower paced teams with Clark being the lead or Wheeler. I could see a double point guard thing with the 2 of them and a Boston triangle being a nightmare for some of these teams. It also would probably leave Samuelson or Mitchell open for 3's or long 2's.

Caitlin will figure out what she can do in the WNBA. She is not able to get herself space off the dribble for three pointers like she did in college, but this gives her the opportunity to drive to the basket for easy layups or dishes to one of her bigs. Her threes are most likely going to be spot ups off of screens. Boston and Caitlin are going to be devastating in the pick and roll in another five games. Think Czinano and Clark but on steroids. I love Boston but she's a bit of a gentle giant. As she gets tougher, she's going to become the best big in the league.

CC is limited physically, as much as i loved her college game, she is way, way overmatched talent wise in the pros. She can still light it up from long range, but with better athletes guarding her, the 30 footers are rushed, and 20% on 3's just won't cut the mustard. There are better 3 point shooters on her team, so why would they want to see her fire up 35' bombs that dont hit their mark often enough. Honestly, she looks out of place, but she's a draw, at least for now.

I don't like Clark's 'I'm entitled' attitude, all her whining to the refs when they let her get away with all the arm-bars & push offs, but put that aside, she does deserve more intelligent media & fan support for her college jack-it-up-at-all-costs former Iowa coach Lisa Bluder's strategy output that Aureima has told you has set her up to fail at the next level. @mc76
@mc76 3 күн бұрын
@@Andre-ig7dz According to NBA (and I assume WNBA) rules, the turnover is charged to whoever last has full possession of the ball. If Clark throws a perfect pass that is not tipped by an opponent, and her teammate mishandles it, she gets the turnover. If Clark throws an uncatchable or tipped pass, she gets the turnover. You obviously have seen more of her games than I. Which is the case?
@Andre-ig7dz
@Andre-ig7dz 12 сағат бұрын
@@mc76 I don't know where you found that. All I can read in the rules is that the turnover goes to the player who had last posession of the ball. So if the ball is not catched it goes to the passer. And it makes sense because otherwise you would need to decide if the ball was catchable..

Next game she will probably turn back into a pumpkin especially if it is against a good team. This is the first game that Boston has shown why she was rookie of the year last season. Hopefully she can keep it up. Something I noticed in the replay is that Clark appears to be a lazy player. Rarely see her try to pull down a rebound or contest a shot. Her feet look like they are planted to the floor. She is reminding me of how Doncic is playing in The NBA Finals.
