@@vikram5010 Before the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha elections took place, BJP had won in the Lok Sabha 2019 elections with a thumping majority. After this, Maharashtra Assembly opinion polls came out where it was projected that Cong.-NCP together would hardly manage to win 40 seats (In 2014 Maharashtra Assembly elections, both parties had contested independently, and Cong had won 42, while NCP had won 40). But this time, even after forming a pre-poll alliance, it was sure shot that they would just win 40 odd seats, which was a sort of humiliating for both the parties. Infact, Congress had given up on elections. It didn't even contest wholeheartedly. But then Sharad Pawar played his game, and when the results came out, it was a shocker not just for BJP-SS, but for Cong-NCP alliance itself. Opinion Poll [Cong:20-21,NCP:19-10, Total:39-41] Results [Cong:44, NCP:54, Total:98] Pawar single-handedly changed the game for both Congress and NCP. And the eventually what happened in Maharashtra, we all are aware of it. Formed MVA with SS, and kept BJP - even after being the largest party with 105 MLAs - away from power for 2.5 years. Those who have observed poltics closely, will definitely agree that Pawar is indeed a political genius!

I live in Pune and in Mumbai, keep travelling between these 2 cities, let me know what developments work you saw anywhere in Maharashtra... Pune is second city in smart city list, till now it does not have metro, not even half work is done, bus lanes are as good as useless, IT parks like Hinjewadi are too congested with traffic, these 5 years non of these concerns were addressed!!! Under NCP-Congress I saw Business parks like BKC, Saki Naka, Powai, Godbundar, Airoli in Mumbai and Hinjewadi and Yerawada in Pune flourish... Under Fadnavis only Lower Parel went through good development and he dint even expand any of these IT/business parks or dint even address any of their crowd congestion problems... In infrastructure, Western Express highway, Eastern Freeway, Lokmanya Tilak highway, Godbander, Bandra - Worli Sea link, Andheri - Ghatkopar metro extension of Central railway, Pune - Mumbai express Highway, Nashik- Mumbai express highway.... Whatever he did in 5 years is nothing at all as compared to all these things that they did in 10 years... Also under Fadnavis Maharashtra borrowed maximum loan ever, if no development was done then why where did all the money go if not in corruption. Also main point, if Shiv Sena and NCP were corrupt then why was BJP trying to form government with them?
