Very cute and I will now not ever use #1 guard, I use 2 and 4 or I would have the same result as you. Thank you for showing the fun new style--versatility is the key here and people have no idea how much you can do with short hair. Your cut is perfect now grown out a bit. Cannot wait for the color update when you get your highlights. I have been doing balayage and I really prefer that technique for my highlights over foils. Should be fun to see what you do! As a former haridresser I am unafraid to take my tools to my hair! I have thick curly brown hair (naturally) and I know that in order to maintain a sharp, edgy look to my style, I have to undercut like yours. I balance that with keeping the top and crown a bit longer and use a flat iron to keep it soft and feminine! I love my haircut days about every 2 weeks and my Wahl with the #2 is by BFF! I could never go less than a 2. I dont blame you, that crosses the line to too short. Your content is amazing and I love watching you share all of your tips and tricks! XO

I have come to realize that the direction in which hair grows will impact on how successful a blow dry and set will look. Your hair seems to grow straight up away from your scalp. As soon as you take your towel off, your hair stands right up. I don’t have that gift. Therefore I have to work much harder to achieve even a similar look although I am using your recommended products. Would your hairdresser have any tips for us gals who are not blessed with your type of hair? Love your videos 😊

Oh thank you!!🥰 It took me a long time to do the undercut but I absolutely love it now! You don't have to go as high with the undercut and can have your stylist use a #4 or higher guard. It grows out super fast so if you don't love it, it won't take too long to grow out😘

I had this cut early summer. I know exactly what you mean by some scalp showing. It bothered me at first, too, but wow, it grows fast. Those first few days I wanted to hide, but not for long. My stylist said she does pretty much all of her undercuts using a one guard.

I have a short pixie and I know how to cut hair and I am doing everything in my power not to go buzz myself with the clippers. I agree, #1 is very short. It’s what my stylist uses on most of her undercuts, including mine. Cold weather is coming, so will probably grow it out a bit for winter. The only thing is short hair feels long quickly. So in a couple weeks it’s actually perfect and less visits to the salon. I have a razor to trim neck hair in between visits to keep the nape hairline nice.

Ask your dermatologist if Minoxodil is right for you. (Sold over the counter as Rogaine, either in men's or women's formula...use the foam type). It wakes up the hair follicle so it stays in grow phase instead of falling out and resting before growing again. It has been on the market for many years so well tested.
