i made this as kind of a "feel-good" thing because these past two weeks were pretty shitty. i've just been feeling generally down for a while now and it's killing most of my motivation but i think i'm finally getting through it. working on this made me feel a lot better.
the quality fluctuates a lot. it's like a roller-coaster of style honestly. i know it looks almost ridiculous in some places but i got carried away, and just y'know. had fun with it. so i think it's whatever.
on the topic of the riddle animatic: i stopped working on it for a while because it was stressing me out, but i do want to finish it before the end of summer, so stay tuned!
programs used were paint tool sai and adobe premiere pro
the roughs took about two weeks (i had like 30 seconds of this planned in my head and the rest was Let's Fill In The Gaps™)
finalizing and editing took 3 days (but that involved a semi-allnighter lol. fun fact, the bridge and last chorus was done in one sitting :'))

I like to imagine that in the cottage they share, Crowley has a little bookshelf filled with plant care and the book “Love Language of Flowers”. All of which were hand selected for him by Aziraphale. And Aziraphale always trims leaf spots before Crowley sees them because he knows how happy spotless plants make him☺️

I like to imagine that since Heaven is pretty scared of him now, Azirapahle's very trigger-happy when it comes to miracles after not being able to use them for so long. Also, he has no clue how to look after plants, so tends to just miracle away any problems Crowely's plants have. The fact that he barely knows what a daffodil is means that he often gets things a bit wrong or is overzealous (á la Anathema's bicycle). Crowely pretends not to notice that a few of his ferns have inexplicably started flowering, the apple tree in the garden produces both apples and blossom all year round and that multiple different plants have leaves that are not quite the right shade of green. Anathema, who is quite knowledgeable when it comes to plants, enjoys coming over to see which plant is now a genetic impossibility.

This was brilliant and so many scenes with meaning and fond amusement at the ‘we just met/and move too fast’ also the switching back and forth between present and the garden time as well as all the different moments they have, even Nanny !!! and the Gardener and a fretting plant !! And then there is that moment where it just flicks really fast through their looks over the years to show all the time they spent together !!!!! and just the way the lyrics fit so well and how the pictures and the lyrics just match so well.
