This video is the definition of making a house a home 💞. I agree about putting the boys bed on the other wall and the nursery wallpaper is the cutest thing ever! I actually have peter rabbit theme in my son and daughters nursery room🤭

I agree that you should move the daybed to the other wall and have the dresser where it’s visible when you look into the room for the older boys. The nursery is so beautiful! A couple of ideas…..I think your idea of baskets under the bed is a good one. That would be great storage for toys, shoes, books. If you get 2 or 3 larger baskets across the side,you could also put one under the end to fill that space. A dust skirt on the crib would be beautiful too. And lastly, if you ever decide that the sink should be removed,open shelves there old be really nice. You could even put a dresser in that spot with a changing spot on top and shelves above to display some cute items such as wooden toys, bunnies and books.

Definitely agree about the current bed placement. Your idea of moving the trundle where the dresser is I think will be more appealing to the eye and maybe even more balanced. Looking into the bedroom and seeing the dresser first thing is a better call and I think you’ll like it better. Love what you done with both the boys rooms, I have always loved your style ,and your home is just beautiful, you and your sweet husband have put so much of your combined talents and love into this English style home and it shows. Oh such fun doing over the bedrooms. I would agree that flipping the trundle bed to the other wall would make sense. I know they make bedding that you Zip up on the mattress that helps kids make their bed. The nursery is so darn cute. Love love the wallpaper & the blue paint color. It's so much fun for us Mom's to do our kids rooms. I have fond memories of the rooms I did.

Rehang door to open on the other wall (door swings open to the wall with grandfather dresser) move chalk board spot that has the bed and put bed on chalk board wall. Everything is adorable. You have a beautiful home and family.

I love the trundel bed, had one as a kid and although I was the only kid in my room it was so special when a friend came over and we pulled out the trundel. That green sconce is adorable. I laughed out loud when you read the 'destroy them' on the chalkboard. So funny! It looks great in there, can't wait to see where the bed ends up. I love the big boys room! I agree with you. Switching the bed and the dresser. Their bedding is perfect! How about putting the sconce over a chair next to the dresser? Oh my gosh the wallpaper and check curtains are beautiful! How about a rolling storage bend behind a tailored style dust ruffle? A dresser in the closet is perfect!

I have three sons all grown now. We lowered the hanging rod to the height of a man's shirt in the closet and put shelves above. It worked in both bedrooms. Fast forward, one son is living with us after serving in the Army and it is still working for him as an adult. They had dressers too but used the shelves for storage. I agree with you about moving the big boys bed. Seeing a messy bed when I entered the room would drive me crazy 😂

...I was looking at the room layout , and yes, the bed isn't in the ideal spot, and changing the configuration would make the room " feel more comfortable ", since it will change the Energy of the room. The daybed is soooo nice, I love trundle beds, in children's rooms and guest bedrooms. I have an affinity for rabbits, and bunnies, I have several that are taller pieces, I use them almost year round. That wallpaper is really cool. ..... your husband is so talented , wow, that bed looks amazing! I agree with " neutral bedding "( duvet, whatever)to really set off the beautiful sheets. I actually use the really nice drop cloths for bed skirts and especially for a daybed I have one on the daybed at my house right now that I'm using as like the bed skirt and everyone comments on it like ..." where did you get that?" And I'm like ... " it's a drop cloth, lol". The really nice ones, that are large and look like they're " not a drop cloth ". I've also used them for table coverings I use one for a round table that I have and it just looks so cool. 😉🙂 You and the Husband are doing a beautiful job so far Miss Andrea!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻✨️😊🤗🍁🍂💜 The crib is beautiful.... that is amazing, the story of it.

Hi Andrea! I just love the blues in the nursery/bedroom space. I would try the bed on the opposite wall and see how it looks there. I think it may actually look good but of course spacing can look deceiving on a video. You also could have hubby make a couple of drawers to put under the bed and paint them the color of the frame. That would be great additional storage space as well as be very clean looking at it would look like part of the frame. I'm actually going to be looking at that when I redo our guest room as I feel like I always need more drawer space! Again, kudos to the hubby for building. a bed frame! He does such great work! Your decorating expertise and his building skills have saved you a ton of money and made your home so beautiful!

Hello! Mom of four sons, in their 20’s now! They all shared one bedroom.Mine wrestled, and still occasionally do☺️I would not put the bed on the other wall! It would look better, but the window is so close that with the rough play. 😏We had a bedroom window broken, no one was injured, thankfully. With real life, practicality has to take priority over what’s visually appealing sometimes.I enjoyed your tour and lovely rooms, and stories that go with the items, thank you so much! I always enjoy my visits.

LOVE, LOVE , LOVE the animal heads ! What a great shade of blue ! YES ... IT IS ABSOLUTELY PRECIOUS ! ❤ Prefer matching WOVEN baskets for under the beds. You are so GOOD with baskets ! Please consider having quilts made from the checked fabric with some plain fabric squares & some animal head or animals fabric squares cut from fabric with an antique vibe. That way you could have enough for 2 quilts. Maybe the child's name could be embroidered on the quilt some where ? Just a thought.

I think you would like the daybed on the other wall. When you walk into the boys’ room you would see your Grandfather’s chest of drawers and you could accessorize it there and be happy to see it when you initially walk in.😊

Center the trundle bed in Ethan & Gabriel's bdrm where the bed was before, return the sconce to it's previous place on the wall so that they can read/be read to in their bed, & then center the old dresser on the wall where the trundle bed is now.

OMG I absolutely LOVE the way these two rooms came out. The color palette is beautiful. Have you ever thought of just removing the faucet off the base cabinet and putting a solid piece of wood as the top? You can also do book shelves above or the mirror that you want. That way you can still use the cabinet and since you won't be removing the plumbing, it can still be used as a sink at a later time if you ever need it.

Good Morning, Andrea! What adorable rooms! Love the colors and checks! Another amazing makeover! A little bit of advice....put mattress covers on the new mattresses and I personally would Scotchgard that new cloth bed. My daughter had one as a child and she used it as a couch in the daytime. That wallpaper is everything - beautiful bunnies with a hint of sophistication. Love the animal heads and the blue of the beds. How about ticking for bed pillow cover to coordinate with the rabbit's pants? The trundle is very pretty - had you ruled out bunk beds? As usual Ms. A everything is beautiful and done with such attention to detail.

Hi. You have good instincts for design. Well, you know that as every room in your house is lovely. I agree in the older boys room to flip the bed and bureau. The ruler looked great above the chalkboard and hanging it before it becomes a weapon is a good idea.😀 the nursery is wonderful. The bedskirt under crib will really look perfect. I do like bedskirts - just seems to add a finishing touch. (hides sometimes needed storage too.)I must confess I'd probably remove the sink and cabinet and install a floor to ceiling bookcase. I appreciate your friendly sharing of your projects. It's so much fun. Thank you.

The transformation of the new boys bedroom is so sweet. How amazing that all the colors worked with each other!! I love the wallpaper. You were wise in not painting the walls blue as the off white color brightens the room and makes it appear more spacious. Regarding a small lamp for light, if you don't have a plug in nearby, you could purchase a small lamp and put in the light bulbs that are rechargeable and don't need an outlet. I also love that the boys share a room. I shared a room with my 2 sisters growing up and we had the best times!! Your home is so cozy and warm. Thank you for sharing everything!! The room for the younger boys is shaping up very well and I love the grey/blue used in the wallpaper, fabrics and painted furniture. The older boys room is a dilemma, as you've noted. If it were me, I'd be inclined to put in a bunk bed set, rather than the daybed with trundle. However, it is likely too late to make that change. The day bed is always going to look messy and right now it is going to be the first thing you see on entering the room. But with your abilities and eye for design I know you will find the best solution.

🐇 🐇 🐇 Love the nursery colors and theme. When my grandson was born 20 years ago I helped create a Peter rabbit nursery for him. He is now military and outgrew that room years ago but such great memories were created. Peter Rabbit never goes out of style 💕

I love Ethan and Gabe’s room and agree that I would flip the location of the trundle and dresser. Love the Jenny Lind style bed for Caleb and love that you repeated the wainscot in their room too. If you find you need a dresser in their room later the toy kitchen can go in the basement when it is finished into a play room.

I love your boys' rooms and the gorgeous colors and feel of both rooms. So sweet and cozy! I know you just got the day bed, but have you considered putting 2 twin beds (similar to the one in the nursery) coming out from the wall that currently has your grandpa's dresser against it with a nightstand in between, then moving the dresser to the wall you were thinking of switching it to where the day bed is in the video under the artwork? Might feel more symmetrical and also give each of your boys their own "landing pad" and private bed space? I tried a trundle for my girls and it was just kind of hard to keep tidy, and my younger one liked to curl up and play in her space, but it was often tucked away so she would use her sister's space, and you can guess how that went!

Leave the trundle bed where it is. Best position. Suggest getting a simple comforter in the same color as the fabric on the bed. It will be easy for a kid to quickly make the bed and make it look less messy. Resist the urge to have fussy layer in the bed. This is after all a young boy’s room.
