@@Sharesies But that's $50 a month for the expert plan with FIF report; More than I spend on fees at IBKR with a $200k portfolio. It's a bit pathetic that NZ fintechs cannot do a simple report themselves. I wrote my own FIF report python script in a weekend.

@@jermunitz3020 I asked Sharesies that exact question by e-mail a couple of months ago and they said "This is something we're working on but don't have a timeframe for." I'm considering moving to Hatch since they do already have a FIF report

So if inland revenue takes some of the profit when we make money on shares, do they also gives us a refund if our shares drop in value. looool

Yeah pretty ruthless particularly that the lack of this tax on other assets like houses means people just buy houses instead of buying more productive assets.
