1:36 It doesn’t connect magnetically. It attaches itself to metal surfaces but it doesn’t connect you to the drive in anyway.

What I don't understand stand is why do you have to add the piece to the dusk plus for magsafe. Why not just but the mag ring on it. Also with the added thickness i dont think it will fit in the pouch anymore

Because the ring would overlap the finger hole to take out the built in usb c cable the pad that you stick on has the ring cut to accommodate for that hole 13:16

@@Imadethisup That doesn’t make sense. They had to cut out the ring for the finger hole anyways. Pretty dumb you have to add a sticker.

Ive spend a few hours looking for m.2 enclosures with the cable stored in the case itself instead of having a loose cable. This is the first one i managed to find. Why is that not a thing? The icybox i have has a long stiff cable that is to annoying to have along the enclosure itself.

Could you say, mag safe is working without magnetig pad? Also, I noticed, that you use SN770 2TB, which have power consumption more than 4.5w in peak. Have you came a cross with troubles when you use this SSD with your iphone without external power?

it works but don't buy this. It's quite bad and for the price, unless you got extra m.2 drive already then maybe. I recommend Orico they got 20gbps, 512gb for 60-70$, Orico one seems to be made for ProRes HDR recording and picture, so your file will be directly save on the ssd and not the device. This looks neat, but all it got is looks. For phones vids recording, I would prefer going with premade, run better, cooler and won't face any weird issue.

No just get any one you want just check the read and write speeds the higher number the better

Actually the higher the speed the greater the power draw of the SSD, and the greater the chance it may not work without external power. Just something to bear in mind.

Thanks for this review. Would you recommend this over other 10 Gbps enclosures? In my country this costs arnd 1.5-2x more than other enclosures even with the Early Bird sale, so I’m not sure if it’s worth it.
