Great review about a product that would have gone "under my radar". I REALLY enjoy your videos. You always test the products properly! And dig deep to get to know the good and bad sides of how it works. 10/10 👍

Please tell me which type of adaptor required to charge the powerbank it self ???

It can be charged with a lot of adapters.... I use what I have. A adapter from a studio light from Godox at home or a charger from a DJI drone or a solar panel that is on my car.... Does this help? Enjoy the Outdoors and Stay Safe! Cheers, Gijs

Thank you for introducing this device, Gijs. SHARGEEK seems to have sent the thing in bulk, as it was presented by a few people in the last few days. My opinion. I find the price hopelessly excessive. I'm in the advantageous position to build something like this myself. I get my Li-Ion battery cells, for example, from Nkon in the Netherlands (Nuenen, Noord-Brabant). There I get high quality from well-known brand manufacturers at very good prices. The electronics can also be found in the endless expanses of the Internet, as well as various prefabricated housings or you can use 3D printing. If you are familiar with programming an Arduino electronic hardware board, you can teach the power bank completely different things. Up to and including communication with a PC or smartphone via Bluetooth or WiFi. But do you really need that? I've found that at first you "play around" with such things a lot, then at some point you've found the most practicable settings and then you only need the basic informations. 80-90% of the range of functions remains unused in the long run. My power banks have now been reduced to the bare essentials and have a simple but watertight cast circuit board, so that I don't have to worry even when it's raining. I don't need all these gimmicks. A power bank has to work for me. How often I can charge what and when are empirical values from everyday life that set in very quickly. I've become very pragmatic about stuff like this. I know that the customer not only have to pay for the material value, but also for the development costs/time. However, after considering all these things, this device with just 8 Li-Ion cells, is overpriced in my opinion.

Hi TJ, Sorry for the bit late reply but this was a full weekend with family stuff. I have read you comment with great interest. As I mentioned: I am not an electronics persons and electric solutions to my problems I buy. My Goal Zero Yeti 400 was stupid expensive too but does a super job in my life; not being able to build it myself. I guess I was (over) enthusiastic about the Storm2 in the same way. It solves a lot problems and I don't have to invest my time (money too). But I would like to learn a bit more in detail how you do it because that would make my understanding of - for example - the Storm2 probably better. I am curious if you ever did a technical drawing on your power banks or maybe even a video. Maybe we could have a chat about this? I am not sue if I have your details but please send them to gijsAToutdoorguru.com. If you like of course. Many thanks for your contribution and point of view. Cheers, Gijs

@@OutdoorguruGearReviews Right, just pointed out the fact you said 129€ instead of 229€. It would have been the perfect price by the way. Or else 🤔 how to get to the know the reliability of a so expensive brand new product ?

the price compared to anker's 140w power bank is just night and day on how over priced this thing is. its only 100w!

I was comparing the same thing yesterday, and agree, it is pricey. But going through the specs, it’s a bit smaller, and lighter, than the Anker. I ended up going with Shargeek when I found it on an Amazon lightning deal. Without the deal, I’d go with Anker, knowing that I’d be sacrificing a bit on the size/weight.

Enjoy the Outdoors and Stay Safe! Cheers, Gijs
