Duas definitely need to be sprayed once or twice and sat for quite a while for them to shine, but once they do they are great.... not all of them of coarse but the majority I have are beautiful

Hey Sharida!!!!! I’m so happy to hear you’re loving JP Guiding Light! I had the same reaction when I tried the sample-I was hooked right away. I pre-ordered it because I’m planning a wedding and trying to save money! lol! JP has really been putting out some bangers, and I’m excited to have them in my collection. I also have Confection, and I love how creamy it gets in the dry-down. That’s where I pick up a bubblegum vibe, even though it’s not listed in the notes. By the way, Dua has an inspiration of Blanche Bete called Milkylicious that I really enjoy. It smells almost identical to the original, and mine’s been sitting since April. I didn’t grab Her Confession because I’m really happy with the Dua version, plus I still have the OG. Thanks so much for this video! I really appreciate when you share affordable options with us! ❤

So glad to hear your opinion on the DUAs. I have the Spiced Vanilla but I’ve never smelled the original to compare. I had a feeling it wasn’t spot on because I wasn’t particularly wowed by their version. Sometimes they get it in that 90-95% likeness sometimes they don’t. I love the price even if I don’t love the bottles. Congrats on 40k loading🎉

Hey Sharida! I have over 50+ Dua Brand perfumes. I can vouch that you do have to let them macerate. Some may take longer than others; however, although I do like Dua fragrances but I’m not going to say that ALL the ones I have is a hit! Probably about 5 that I’m not a fan of… But I will be getting Her Confessions! Thanks for your review, and congrats on your 40k sub mark!

Guiding Light is a very spot on dupe with good longevity. Juliana Perfumes is my favorites inspired house…u don’t have to wait for them to macerate. Congrats on 40k Sharida!

HIII! Duas definitely need time to macerate, I usually give mine at least 6 weeks before I try to judge them. After that they usually give at least 90-95% of the original scent

I was so excited when I discovered Dua early on in my perfume journey and blind bought quite a few. Even though I let them macerate for about four months and they certainly improved, I simply could not get over the carrier oil smell. I know that they work well on other people's chemistry, but for me, there was always a rancid undertone that kept me from truly enjoying them and I ended up decluttering every single one. Now, I'm a Julianna's girl and am starting to dip my toe into Montagne Parfums, which has a lot of unique dupes including Le Labo, Louis Vuitton, and Xerjoff. Their versions of Another 13 and Pacific Chill are great.

I’ve been layering Kama Sutra Crystal body lotion and oil with Delina and Guidance. I am loving my fragrance life!! Guidance has been a signature scent for me. I have the Dua version of Spirituese Double Vanille and it was a lot sharper than I thought it would be when I got it. But it’s sat for almost 9 months and when I visited it again last week it was smooth and closer to vanilla I was expecting from a Guerlain.

I love Dua… But they don’t always hit. I heard they have to macerate sometimes. My favorite though… Is sweet milk that dupes milk by commodity. I like it way better than any of the milks by commodity. Also, I layered musky marshmallow with Killian‘s love don’t be shy, I smelled great!

The Duas are hit or miss but I feel like they've been a way for me to smell a scent profile to decide if I want to splurge on the OG of whatever I've tried. I've tired probably 50 at this point and don't mind reselling those that don't work for me. Their shipping is sooooo excessively delayed all the time, people are usually happy to buy a declutter because it ships faster than Dua, ha! Particular WINS from Dua for me are the Sol de Janiero scents, Cheriosa 40 is my fave and now thanks to Dua, I have a nice fragrance to pair with it. I have 87, 71, 62, 40... Dua has helped me make these scents long lasting.

Tried the dupe for Blanche Bete and guidance from Julianna’s perfumes. I never smelled the original guidance but if it’s anything like Juliana’s inspiration. I think I will like it. I have a decant of the Blanche bete. Comparing it to the Juliana’s inspiration it’s close. The refinement is definitely different. Juliana’s version needs to dry down on the skin and settle for a little bit. After about 15 minutes she is Blanche bete.

I have a dupe from Oakcha and a few from Alexandria Fragrances. My Oakcha dupe is a dupe of TF’s Tobacco Vanille. It smells good, but I don’t know what the OG smells like. My Alexandria Fragrances dupe is a dupe of BR540 Extrait. Again, it smells good, but I don’t know what the OG smells like. I own Lattafa’s Confidential Private Gold which is supposed to be an Erba Pura dupe. Once again, it smells good, but I’ve never smelled the original. I don’t live in a major metropolitan city, so I have to buy decants and samples to test everything.
