I have both vanilla orchids! I like there foliage it's unique, water twice a week, morning sun, ebsom salts,egg shells,or Oster shells calcium for plants when there growing during spring, summer,fall.

I used to live in Atascadero, so went there a lot. If you're in the area again, my friend, Nick owns Grow Nursery in Cambria, they specialize in cacti and succulents. He usually has some nice jungle cacti and hoyas. Other places to go are Bay Laurel in Atascadero, The Educated Gardener in Santa Margarita used to have some nice plants, Las Pilitas in Santa Margarita has a huge assortment of native plants, Daylight Gardens in SLO, and Farm Supply in SLO also has a bunch of plants. I haven't been home in 5 years though so I don't know if any of them are even around anymore or what they sell.

I just bought a cissus discolor today! I couldn't resist becuase of how beautiful it is, I hope mine grows as nice and long as those ones, and I hope its not as hard to care for as it says online 😬.

I made a video about mine on my KZbin channel just click on The K Circle and it will take you to my channel. Only I called mine I think a Rex begonia Vine even though I know it's a cissus Vine. Mine got to be 13 ft long outside Last Summer. It would have done better over the winter if I hadn't pulled half the leaves off of it because some insects like Japanese beetles like to eat it. It made it through the winter didn't look real nice it's now back outside for the summer I'm just getting lots of new shoots and Vine. Also some of its cuttings that I took rooted and I need to get them planted now.
