On the topic of arranged marriages, I have a weird story as well Once, me and my cousin were out with her mother and a lady stopped us and asked "can I have any of them(it doesnt matter😂) for my son, it's so rare to find modest girls nowadays, please" My aunt started laughing in shock and told her that we were too young (we were literally 14 and 16) lmaoo. It remains one of the wierdest interactions I've had with a stranger

nah ibr i had no expectations of this but this whole audio low-key reminds me of my dad. my parents also had an arranged marriage and everyone expected them to ✨do things✨straight away but my dad was super respectful, instead he sat and talked with my mum the whole night, helping her remove all the jewellery and hairpieces from her hair and everything and once they both got undressed they literally just sat and talked about their whole lives bc they were born and raised in different countries (my dad in the uk and mum in pakistan) fast forward later and they’ve just celebrated their 25th anniversary on independence day (lol my granddad wanted his son to get married on pakistan’s independence day)

Well here is my little stupid story about marriage lol. Im a girl who is a little bit taller than majority of my family members (im just 5'6 lol) so when i was like 15, we visited one of our family members and an old man said to my mum "oh you are about to be a mother on law soon huh?" My mum was confused and said im just taller and bla bla. And guess what he said "oh don't care about the age, she is tall enough just make her married". I didn't see him again 🥲
