Last week's episode focused on eating the "Fisherman's Cuts" of fish. This week, we are giving away the prime cuts. Sharing with those around you is what builds a community and creates balance in our ecosystems. Kimi Werner delivers fresh ahi to her friends and neighbors but can't ever seem to come home with an empty cooler!

Good job Kimi, Justin, Buddy, dog you don't own! You could easily sell all that fish and have lots of money. But sharing it and having a caring community that will protect you is priceless. It's Hawaiian way, you get gifts in return. I always share lots of ahi with friends and relatives, plus onaga, kamanu, kampachi, etc. Without asking I get chili pepper water, smoke meat, fruits, desserts, etc. in return. Also good karma. Tight lines!

Good for you Kimi! I do a lot of ocean fishing/crabbing out of a kayak and bring home more than my fair share of rockfish, lingcod, halibut and Dungeness crabs. Neighbors are always happy to take some for a fresh caught meal. I expect nothing in return, but have received fresh fruit from their gardens and baked cookies. Always makes me feel good knowing everything is being used and nothing goes to waste.

That's how I grew up always remember sitting on the back of our truck me and my brothers and sisters while my Dad would drive around dropping of fish we had caught that day to the locals and going home with food people had given us.The good old days when all you needed was each other.
