Күн бұрын

Kimi Werner relives an epic day of spearfishing yellowtail with a group of friends in Chile. She tries to recreate the meal they shared called Disco. With the help of her friend Ramon Navarro, she makes Cocimiento al Disco, Hawai’i style!
Ingredients used in this video:
Homemade big island sausage
Olive oil
Garlic
Chilies
Onions
White wine
Fish head
8 cups water
Whole smashed Kona crab
Potatoes
Tomatoes (seeded)
rice (optional. I put a too much in video. Shortly after filming, the rice absorbed all the soup in the pot. So add no more than 1/2 cup or leave it out)
Octopus previously simmered until tender
Kona crab cleaned, chopped and cracked
Yellowspot fish fillets
Cilantro
Serve with fresh baked bread!

There is a rustic nature in how food is sourced, how it's prepared, how it's served, and the versatility of ingredients and such. It's done in such an impressive way that makes you appreciate and value what's given to you. I truly appreciate the channel and look forward to more recipes and ideas from you. Also kudos to managing your kid and cooking at the same time. I'm assuming that your partner is filming the whole thing... so doing it as a family is super impressive and cute. Love it!!

I can't even find a woman that wants to go play in the ocean for a minute much less go deep sea diving and get their own food does a whole different ordeal. I would love that I would spoil her be on her belief she goes brings home food for the family that's much respect in the ocean getting it herself very dangerous that like I said it's very much respect.

You are a great story teller. Thank you very much for sharing that one. And now one for you: I was working in Malaysia and saw an old man sorting his catch on the wooden walkway that ran between the mangroves in which his village was built. I looked down and my eyes widened and I smiled and felt quite knowledgeable. I asked my translator to tell him that we had the same species of prawn in Australia. She did. And he responded. ‘What did he say?’ I asked, looking at him. ‘One ocean. One world.’ I was humbled and consequently didn’t feel quite so knowledgeable after all. 😊 I love it when that ancient wisdom brings me down to earth.
