Hiii ❤❤ Can you please guide that ba program (polsci+phy ed) is better or ba pol sc hons ?? In first round i got ba program (polsci+ phyed) in miranda which was my 16th prefence Now i am confused that should i upgrade it or not?? Because my 1st to 15th prefences are filled with ba polsc(h) in all colleges of north campus like hindu , miranda, drc, kmc and also lsr etc and ba prog (pol/his/eng) in all north campus colleges like st Stephen's,hindu,miranda etc. I am glad that i got miranda 🥺 but also confused about ba pol sc hons P.s : after upgrading can we delete some of the prefences or not ?? Or we are allowed to just change the order only Please help cz i want north campus only but I've filled lsr for ba pol sc hons at 3rd Can i mail you my prefence sheet for clarity please help out senior !!!! ❤🙏🏻 Should I go for my luck? afaik you can NOT change pref list at all after round 1. also, hons is much better than prog as u can get specialisation in 1 subject. but, in nep fyup, if you do the course for 4 years, even ba prog, you will get a hons degree in one sub,which in your case, would be pol sci. ba prog is by no means inferior/less better, it completely depends on what you like/prefer. if you're happy and satisfied with your seat, freeze it. but if you want/are ok with any of ur upper 15 choices, u can upgrade.

@@sharmasrb yea, if u do ba prog for 4 years(pol sci+phy ed), then it is equivalent to pol sci hons, plus a minor in phy ed. while if you do 4 years of hons degree, u will get a hons+research degree. which will make u eligible for applying directly for phd without masters. if ur happy and contented w mh and ba prog, u can freeze. however, if u want the "hons" tag, then u can opt for upgrade. but i recommend not clicking on upgrade if u have some clg+course combinations which u dont want now that u've got mh, bcuz if u get upgraded u wont hv a choice of choosing a combination which u were previously getting.

@@sharmasrb yeah I'm from MH, I'm doing physics hons so idk about whether u can do PhD w/o masters after doing 4 yrs of ba prog. It also depends on what u wanna do further. Like, I would tell u to choose hons over prog but then again, a prog from a good college always better than an hons degree from a v low college. If you have good colleges (like north campus colleges +top 5 colleges of South campus) in ur upper pref then u can upgrade, but if u don't wanna risk and are content w MH and the course u hv gotten them u can freeze. Hope it helps. Just remember, once u upgrade and get an upper pref, u will not be able to get the MH seat. Also, if u freeze ur seat, make sure ur content, don't freeze bcuz ur like "oh im getting this atleast" bcuz once college starts u shld hv no regrets that "oh I could have gotten better maybe." rn u will be thinking "yea yea any seat is ok" but this overwhelming feeling will last only 1-2 weeks, then u will have to go to college and stuff. It would become normal. So, that's the question only u can answer to urself.

Hey Preksha! I have one doubt about preference list , look if I clear a college's cutoff, lets say college 'X' and it is in the 11th position in my list and someone else place it in 3 number, and we have same conditions like marks and category wise. So does it matter? Will the college pick me , who put in 11th Or the 3rd position one, or both? I hope I made you understand what i am trying to say😅 Please help me out.

Hey! So if all the conditions remain same for both of the students like marks, category, etc the one who have placed the college combination on the higher preference will be preferred. That is the whole point of making a preference list, the portal will automatically consider the one who wants it more!
