It's a biological fact that humans don't change sex. How can you demand that people believe that a man is actually a woman if you're not in a cult? What you call transitioning is nothing but the enactment of a set of sexist stereotypes. There's nothing wrong in being a man. I'm man myself, regardless of my preferences, and being a man is not an offense. You can dress whatever you want if it is appropriate for the circumstance, nobody cares. But it is not a human right to require people to lie and disregard the safeguarding of children and women based on what a person claims or thinks about him-herself or what they are wearing.

I came up with a good solution for people who for whatever reason decide they are going to change their gender, pronouns, etc.... I just don't associate with them anymore. These people need help that I just can't give them by simply cowering to their constantly changing "identity". I just pretend like they don't exist as best as I can. It's called the "grey rock" technique for responding to abusers. A particularly egregious case was with a coworker who cut her hair, changed to they/them, got a promotion, and began yelling at coworkers for not affirming her new identity, all in the same week. I like my job, and so I simply stopped talking about her or to her. I completely ignored her except for "Yes" and "No" answers when absolutely necessary. These people have the woke power structures behind them, and so it's all you can do at this time while keeping your job. In the meantime, when you go home from a job like this, make sure you write your representatives to voice your opinion about coerced language, child mutilation, and all the rest of it. And research the companies that take a stand against Pride and support them! But at work, just grey rock them! Ignore the abusers

Of course, identifying as a pilot is very different from flying a plane without proper training and a license, but no trans people identify as trans without experience living as a trans person. Letting youths with gender dysphoria get gender affirming healthcare and transition is indeed supportive and loving.
@augoosto117 ай бұрын
@@bobdavis4848 my thoughts are, if you're not old enough to legally have sex, you're not old enough to have sex reassignment. If you're not considered competent enough to make an informed decision about sex idk how you're expected to be mature enough to make an informed decision about who you want to be for the rest of your life when you still believe in Santa Claus. Once you're an adult, Godspeed. I get that there are things about puberty that can't be reversed, but there are also things about preventing puberty that can't be reversed. Life isn't fair, and the outcome that does the least damage to children has to be the way forward.
@bobdavis48487 ай бұрын
@@augoosto11 Having gender reassignment has nothing to do with intercourse with another person. People don’t decide to have gender dysphoria or to be transgender. They are born that way, they know it from childhood, and it’s misery for them if they can’t be understood and allowed to be their real selves. Transitioning has saved lives and prevented self-harm. Children should not have their whole youth clouded by gender dysphoria that makes them feel they are trapped in their own body like it is that of a stranger that does not belong there. One of my friends has a trans son, the puberty blockers worked well for him and the only problems have been prejudice and lack of acceptance from others. Letting children with gender dysphoria transition is indeed the outcome that does the least damage. They are given elaborate psychological counseling before transitioning to be sure it’s what they really need. The vast majority of youths and parents are very satisfied with the outcome except for unfair societal backlashes. It’s not for someone like you to try to meddle in their personal business and their happy results. Also that kind of thing is part of what sometimes helps embolden some people who may attack trans children.
@augoosto117 ай бұрын
@@bobdavis4848 you're right, it is totally different deciding to have intercourse. Having intercourse is a much smaller decision with less potential to do permanent damage to your body. No matter what you say, there are a non-zero amount of kids who will do permanent damage and regret it later. As for trans folks being born that way, that is false. Gender dysphoria, just like every other psychological disorder, has one foot in the nature camp, and one foot in the nurture camp. For some, it'll be much more of one than the other, but both play some kind of role no matter how you slice it. I do not want people to hurt themselves, but I also don't want people to hurt themselves. Do you understand what I'm saying? I'm not demeaning your position, and I am so glad the trans folks in your life have had good outcomes. But, it stands to do more harm than good from where I'm sitting, so I cannot, and will not support it. I appreciate that from your perspective, you think this is the right thing, and even if I disagree, I can respect that your heart is in the right place. Hopefully, you can extend me the same courtesy. If some day, studies can prove that hormone manipulation causes no health complications later in life, and reassignment surgery becomes completely reversible, then I may change my position. As of now however, we know synthetic hormones can and do increase the risks associated with all sorts of medical conditions.

Serious question here…. For those of you who believe we should allow minors to make life changing, adult decisions; should we also begin trying minors as adults in criminal cases? Likewise, if you believe that a minor should be able to make the decisions absent of their parent’s approval; should we no longer hold parents criminally liable for their children’s actions? Serious question. I’m curious how one doesn’t negate the other.
@JDKelleherMusic Жыл бұрын
We already try minors as adults but why the comparison to something so ugly, like crime. What life-changing 'decisions' are you talking about here? This is not about decisions...it is about who the minor IS. Should minors tell their parents they are gay if their parents are oppressive homophobes? No, they shouldn't. Also though...minors are not having surgeries...this is about identity... It is abusive to deny the child the right to express their identity in whatever way they want. Identity is not a tatoo for example. Transphobic adults need to get educated and listen to their kids, but also, if a kid does not feel comfortable sharing ANYTHING with their parents...it says more about the parents than it does about the kid. Grow up, adults!
