One more thing.. Yes Roger, I give you full credit for my initial purchase from Shark. I'd dismissed them as toys but never gave them a chance. So yes, Shark are excellent vacuums and I now own Four of their newest and the Shark Steam & Spray cleaner. I was given one, but it's so powerful it sticks to the carpert and is hard to push. I found a button on the side to reduce suction. But my carpet was short pile. Still, it is better now. It should suck most of the dust out of the carpet, though.

Happy Birthday Roger!!! I saw you on TV a few days ago with the rest of the Royal Family! Smashing green outfit I must say....:-D I forgot about this "swap-out" brush roll system Shark offers! I love the idea! No transfer of sticky residue from floors to carpets! A simple solution! With its own on-board storage! Does the instruction manual indicate if you can wash the bare floor brush-roll?

You must be mistaken Brian, I have been nowhere near the Royals this week. You can clean both brush rolls under running water, but Shark say not to submerge them in water.

I bought a rocket powerhead this evening and was fairly impressed with the performance it has but unfortunately I picked up the base model with 1 brushroll so back to the store it will go because I found the next model up on clearance at the local mall. The struggle of being a picky collecter lol.
