It took a really nice chunk out of a lady's calf but I didn't get a clear view of the other victim so I don't know what's missing from that person....lotza blood, though. Funny thing - people knew that there were sharks nearby and of at least one attack, but they stayed in the water. This was a clear case of Darwin at work.

Shark bites are extremely rare on the Texas coast....usually little sand sharks that don't hurt anyone they just swim by, plus the incredible amount of dolphins there usually frighten them off on all 500 miles of the coast....weird.

Hurricane, loss of habitat or lack of food.. lack of food is worse case scenario for humans because if they develop taste for humans, then we are in trouble!!

740 miles between the two beaches. That would be about 40 miles a day traveling with no time to hunt food. Highly unlikely it's the same shark.

It's shark season. Sharks, whales, and other large animals swiftly move to calmer waters, however, and, generally speaking, are not overly affected by hurricanes.

We didn't use to have so many shark attacks and i believe thats because the people hunted down sharks that attack humans and put them down...

I get what you're saying, but It doesn't work that way. Marine Biologists have proven that shark attacks happen when the sharks food source moves into shore, or the food source is scarce in their typical feeding grounds!

@DanBoyd1111 I watched a video during shark week where they showed that the sharks smell other sharks blood in the water and it chases them away. This being 1 shark they believe is the culprit is going to have to be put down. Sharks aren't just fish they're actually pretty smart and learn from each other such things as hunting tactics and areas to stay away from. They need to relearn to stay away from beaches
