There's something about the Polynesian and surrounding areas sea and island life that fascinates me. If the ancestors of these people were able to populate all these islands and even get to Hawaii, I don't see how or why there couldn't have been an ancient advanced culture that stretched across the globe

@olanrewajuin2008 Жыл бұрын
I love this documentary, I am amazed by many things here. First, outsiders would look at these people and call them poor, but they are not poor, they have everything they want and they are happy. Their lifestyle is also sustainable...until greedy foreigners invade their coasts with large fishing trawlers to steal all their fishes, disrupting their life style and plunging them into poverty. Another thing is that they are using crude trimaran, and this is how they have always built their fishing vessels for centuries. It wasn't until centuries later, that other parts of the world started building trimarans. It is interesting how humans are so inventive and these "natives" are technologically minded, understanding physics and maths...even when outsides don't see them that way and are condescending towards them. It is interesting how they use polymers resins of trees to repair and preserve their canoes...again this is deep scientific knowledge which they have had for long, and continue to use.

Humans kill more sharks than vice versa. Imagine your species is killing a 100million endangered animals that only bite less than 20 people per year.
@Sharklover4life8 ай бұрын
You really need to educate yourself, they’re not “shark infested” that’s their home, it’s where they LIVE. You most likely just watch the News and believe everything they say, shark attacks are 1 in millions, whereas we kill 275+ million sharks every year, only 10 shark attacks happen every year. Open your perspectives, sharks are not the monsters, HUMANS ARE. 70% of shark species are vulnerable/endangered thanks to US. Stop living in fear and realise the truth, sharks are not watch the media portrays them to be
