Thanks so much for this video. I had watched several videos for this product, but they were all done by women clearly 20+ years younger. I'm nearly 50 and still have long hair and curls, but now they are mixed in with grays that resemble fishing line. Everything is changing! So glad to see someone out there making videos for those of us who aren't spring chickens. Really made my day ❤️

My understanding you are suppose to be blow drying your hair first 80%-90% first as we do in the salon and then use the attachments to finish off. That will probably also help with tugging at the hair.
@InfinitegardenbyBethK9 ай бұрын
You are 100% right. The attachment with just the bristles that looks like a pic is really good for rough drying. For some reason I don’t like doing it in tend not to… I think it’s me being stubborn and set in my ways. I know that you are giving really sound advice.

Your gorgeous grey shows no yellowing from heat styling. You’re so lucky. Mine goes super yellow I use a purple toning shampoo but that only helps so much before it turns the yellow a dull brown. So it’s all cool styling for me now that I’ve decided to stay grey. 😊
@InfinitegardenbyBethK Жыл бұрын
💖💖 your hair is so brilliant 🤩 I do deal with some yellowing, but it’s mostly from makeup and lotions. So far my hair has been pretty resistant to irrevocable yellowing. I would absolutely stop heat styling if that happened. Not worth it!

Hi Beth! I LOVE your reviews, thank you. I did purchase this same Shark and was sooooo excited. However b y the second time I used it the bristles started falling off. My hair is like yours: abundant and very coarse. I contacted them and they quickly sent me another attachment, which unfortunately did the same thing on the first use. Needless to say, I had to return the entire device. It seems like you do not have that issue with the brush…I’m tempted to order it again and give it another try.

Hi Beth Thank you for a thorough review🙏🏻I have similar hair texture to you and own the Dyson airwrap. I have also struggled with frizz (humid climate) After experimenting I found that the color wow dream coat, helps a lot. Don’t know if you use it, but it has really done a difference for me. I also take smaller sections and continue a little bit longer after the hair is smooth out, to secure less frizz. Thank you for sharing and keep up the good work🙏🏻💯🤗🤩

This is great advice!! I will try this product you mention. I’m always game to test new products. I definitely use too much hair at once. It’s wild because I know I’m doing it, but I can seem to stop. You’ve inspired me to try again.

Yes omg!! I had bleach damage that changed my hair texture to curly at the back for a few years (before it grew out) and I sweat a LOT at the nape of my neck. The color wow dream coat saved me during those years, and I still use it. It kept my hair from getting frizzy the moment I sweat.

I seem to have the same exact hair texture as yours. It’s thick and can get frizzy if I don’t use the right tools. And currently I use the revlon dryer brush to get it straight. But I’m excited about trying to use this shark tool as I, from time to time, would like to curl in my hair. Thanks for a great tutorial and tips on how to use these hair tools.

I have one and it does say in the instructions to dry hair with the hairdryer setting until 80-90% dry then finish with the oval brush, paddle brush or curling attachments. I've only got it pretty recently and I've found it really good with my frizzy wavy hair type. Also good styling products also help, I have a few I use depending on how I'm styling my hair and they make a huge differece

Curly hair, too. Do you find that straightening with a heat brush or any heat tool changes your curls when you want to wear it curly?
@InfinitegardenbyBethK Жыл бұрын
You know, I think the answer to this is yes, but I’m not 100% sure. I started using the Revlon super hot round brush when I was still dying my hair. It was so damaged by the constant dye and root-touch-ups that I’m not really sure what my natural hair was like. In the summer I take breaks from blowing out my hair because it’s too pointless in the summer humidity, and I think I’ve noticed that my hair is more coarse and tightly wavy than it is curly (it used to be more spirally). Long answer, probably not helpful. I do think applying heat and tension to the hair will change its texture in the end.

Happy New Year Beth! I love a good follow up video. I recently got the T3 Airebrush Duo. It comes with a round brush, which I prefer over oval, and a paddle brush. I am loving it! It’s grippy enough to hold onto my hair, but also slides through my hair like butter. I have naturally straight hair, so I’m sure that makes it easier. Do you dry your hair with the shark from shower wet hair or do you air dry it at all first?
@InfinitegardenbyBethK Жыл бұрын
Happy new year, Shelley! 💖💖💖 I sometimes use the comb attachment to rough dry my hair if I don’t have time to let it air dry. Ideally I’ll put the styling creams in it, sip it up and then take a long time getting around to drying it. That seems to work, but I still haven’t fully perfected my practice. It sounds like the T3 is really working for you! I’ve heard other great reviews of it.

I decided to try an affordable version of the blow dryer shaped like a flat brush - under $40. It works really well on my silver hair, gives body but isnt too hot. To be honest I still havent figured out my silver hair needs after 14 months. The texture is so porous, fickle and seems to attract static. I cant get away with waiting 3 days to wash unless I put my hair in a ponytail or something. Yes- I love no dye. Its fantastic. But the dryness of silver hair is crazy. I put 2 different conditioners on today and its finally what it used to be in terms of moisture. Lots more upkeep!
@InfinitegardenbyBethK11 ай бұрын
It’s great to hear that you found a more affordable version that’s not too hot! So, I totally know what you mean about how dry your gray hair is lately. I find that I need to bring in oil masks and deep conditioners much more frequently than I used to.

@@InfinitegardenbyBethK ahhh - ok. so its not just me! do you get any yellowing? so far I have avoided many hot tools. silver haired gals say our hair goes yellow - what are your thoughts?
@hellokittydoll27946 ай бұрын
@@FreshGrey-pm4vw I am not a hair dresser or expert but I am a hair/haircare lover. Getting a shower filter may help prevent your grey hair from yellowing if you have any type of hardness to your water. Even if you have soft water but your plumbing is old and has mineral buildup inside the pipes, this can still be hard water. I hope this helps! 😊

Holding the curler at a downward slanted angle parallel to your head would allow for it to grab the hair differently. Instead of the air sucking it up in an upward direction, if that makes sense?

This is such a great tip! After more than a year, I’m still getting the hang of it. Many thanks!

I like how you are mimicking the use of rollers. It may be easier if you bend the barrel as you would, if you were blow drying, it may be easier to wrap your hair.

I’m thinking about buying it from Costco so I can easily return it if I don’t like it. I have the Revlon brush but don’t love it for my frizzy coarse wavy hair… Dyson airwrap is way too expensive.

I have the same type of hair as you and I would say that the issue you are getting at the roots is because it’s not fully dry and smoothed. Perhaps why the hotter Revlon didn’t do that. I have to ensure mine is fully dry to remove such volume / movement

This is a good tip. Does it work with textured hair? I’m always concerned that this will lead to frizz.
@follywood25 ай бұрын
@InfinitegardenbyBethK Frizz is a big problem for me. Use the concentrator attachment on the dryer and try to get just the roots of your hair, not any other bit. It dries the roots and gives lift/volume. Then, go in with the brush attachment. Sometimes I do a quick run through all my hair because it makes the "brush dry" step and the whole process faster. I don't have the Shark system yet. I use a regular dryer followed by the Revlon one step brush dryer. Frizz is managed fine this way.
