Once the alternator is charging, merely take a screwdriver and put it on the back of the alternator and there will be magnetism present which you will feel. Try it first not running and key off....there will be no magnetic field. Just a quick field test when you do not have a meter with you.

Crude way to test a 'car type" alternator.....on the back of the alternator in the center there is a flat silver round plate about the size of a silver half dollar. If it is magnetized while running it is putting out current. Any piece of metal like a flat blade of a screwdriver will stick to it while running.

Hi Cale. Did you see the reel that was at the Farm progress show. It is supposed to be autonomous for watering the Square ends of your fields. Can you put cameras and lights on a pivot to show what the pivot waters and the patterns it waters. What about a drone on a pivot.home based on a pivot to check your fields and for security. Love your videos and content The tires look interesting. Would a track system work on a pivot.

Southeast South Dakota needs a good multi day soaker. I like how those wheels are designed. That will allow them to get out of ruts better, it seems.

So Cale, my first thought is that this will save you the time of having to change a flat, but then can you change the tread if something happens to it? Also, didn’t you just spend a boat load of money on that sprayer? Not sure if it should already be needing farmer’s engineering.

Well they wont eliminate wheel tracks but they will last longer than tires and they wont go flat!

If it starts when you jump it, is it the solenoid or the ignition switch, wiring, or is there a safety switch in the circuit?

As the tires are not filled with air, the likelihood of a puncture has been reduced. Does the tire weigh less than normal tires?

Disconnect the battery while engine is operating, if the alternator is sufficiently supplying current the engine will continue to operate.

If you don't know how to check for something causing a parasitic drain of the battery, it is probably time to check out a KZbin video about finding parasitic drain. All it takes is a voltmeter. You obviously won't need a wrench to remove a battery terminal.
